Wait....

Why am I trying to explain this to you?
but bro

you can totally run a fwd sidewinder setup if you cut off the left front quarter of the car

My friend has put LSX motors in anything you can think of, he can weld custom subframes for a few cases of beer and dinner.
I had hopes that you'd be legit.

I just lost all hope

Confirmed eggplant thread.

Hahahaha when this car is built and I only have 10k in it ALL TOGETHER ill be sure to post back to these first few pages of the thread. I understand talk is cheap so ill slowly update as I make progress on the build. Cant wait to get this clutch in... Its slips pretty hard if I slam 2nd and 3rd gear. Tomorrow I have plans to fix some small oil leaks (CAS and Valve Cover Gasket).

When you drive your car 1800 miles, in <2 days without a single issue, then I'll believe you built a 300hp reliable car for 10k(with proof of receipts and a real dyno log).

Go take a look at my build thread if you want a cold, reality filled bitch slap to the face on what it would approximately cost to do that. I'm pretty easy going, and it is hard to annoy me, but you are talking a lot of fluff without real & accurate data to support it.

Do you even realize how fast 300hp is in a Miata? Build a 220 +/- daily driver, gain experience, gain knowledge by reading posts on here on builds that aren't "different", and realize you don't have a clue where to start.

Boy are you going to be mad when your turbo alone takes up 18% of your budget.

How much of that budget did your car take up?

You can HAVE a 300whp reliable Miata for $10k. You just can't build one for $10k.

You can buy my car and spend the extra leftover on a 6spd and a 2871 and be done with it if you'd like to save face.

Otherwise, this is the most eggplanty thread in a long time.

It won't matter how reliable it is. @ 300whp the mouse trap will snap & that will be that.

I'm actually pretty surprised nobody mentioned it sooner.

If it ends up on blocks being worked on in the garage rather than driven it's probably a blessing anyway.

So over the weekend got some routine things I took care of. (Valve Cover Gasket and CAS O-Ring) CAS took all of 20 mins. and VCG took about 2-3 hours because I had to wait for the paint to dry. I figured might as well paint it while it is off, I'm pretty happy with how much better it looks over the dirty silver color it was before.

Do yourself a favor, don't make ginormous claims and then show us a spray painted valve cover.

To be honest, student loans paid for a good chunk of my original turbo build...

0% interest and i don't have to pay until i get a real job? Yes please.

In retrospect, probably not a good idea. But, i made **** happen.
