Max HP/TQ on Bandaids, Lets See'em!!!
Please limit "discussion" in this thread...
I just want setups and #'s!!!
All right, lets have some results. With MS getting easier every day, I wondered what limits some of us have probed w/no electronic "fuelery". I've got my theories, but I want to know how high"ish" people have/are pushing their bandaid setups.
My setup is in my sig... but I will caveat that when I lifted for knock (after about 6 back-to-back runs), I was only at 5500rpm and still gaining power. I'm pretty confident it makes 200whp/190ftlbs on the street at 12psi... but the official numbers are:
12psi boost
100psi fuel pressure
Base timing 14* w/Bipes pulling 6*
189whp/186ftlbs

BEGi 2025 afpr with needle valve almost all the way in
Walbro 190HP
Bipes pulling 6* (base timing 14*)
GT2554 @9psi
Supra 305's
weird fuel curve, always leans out above 5k
no dyno #'s, but 13.933 et @103.83mph on 7psi
now i have an EMB waiting to get installed next time I go home from school, so hopefully i can up the boost and get a way better tune

Andy Floyd is the hands down winner. With the typical band aids, GT32, and a built motor he made 294 rwhp on a mustang dyno at only 16 psi.

I think the fuel says a lot of why I went with MS. however, life was so much simpler back then :gay:
11.5psi boost
90psi fuel pressure
Base timing 16* w/Bipes pulling 8*
oem afm with 305cc injectors

Back in the day I hit ~185hp 180tq with my gt2554r at 8psi. I'm pretty sure I could have broke 200 if I really tried. It was the standard BEGI AFPR/pierburg/bipes setup. Up until recently, I think this was a respectable low cost setup. Now with MS, I don't know why anyone would want to go this route. You need to get your **** squirted SamNavy

I had my car dyno'd today and well the results were dissapointing.
Begi t25, 7 psi,Begi AFPR, 1.8 injectors, stock pump.
At 4500 rpm my car leaned out to 13.8
I did see 115 hp and 135 tq at 4500 rpm. Do I need to replace the fuel pump to quickly fix this problem?

Only dyno number I have from my band-aid set up was 185 rwhp at 9 psi. Typical set up: greddy, small fmic, begi fmu, walbro, 1.8 injectors, MSD.
Later, I got a bigger downpipe and added a second check valve to the FMU. Made a lot more power and torque, but never went back to the dyno.

I will scan my dyno sheet as soon I get back home. Boost numbers are from a boost guage, hooked up after the throttle body. Car was dyno'd on a dynojet with a wideband hooked up the the muffler. Im gonna take my sitution to a new post since its a nono to talk about it here.

Scott Loercher made 283 whp on a 1.6 (GTX rods/pistons) on the stock ECU w/Greddy and an AFPR. (125 shot of direct port NOS, but that ain't no bandaid). This was back in '94 or so IIRC. Not sure what he had for timing control but it was certainly a bandaid. He ran so rich that a white car that was parked way behind his while on the dyno had a bunch of soot on it after the run.
