Red face Jackstand shitbox--->Roadworthy Shitbox

So as the title implies life has finally changed in a way that lets me mess around with the project car again. Its a stock 1.6 with a 2560r, rx7 injectors, MS2, the usual ****. Unfortunately for about 3 years I didn't have time to do more than start it up and go for a quick drive every few weeks. Always started right up and jumped to an admittedly high 2800rpm idle before settling down after several minutes into something more reasonable; but it's been consistently like this for years now.

Moved from STL down to Charleston SC, rolled it off the trailer and it started right up...at 4000RPM. Just two days before it started up and drove onto the trailer just like normal. Checked all the obvious **** like a major vacuum leak, ect; and didn't see anything. But the only thing that changed was the geographic location of the car...there's no way the 500 foot change in elevation/barometric pressure could do this...right...?

Gunna do some more digging this weekend once my new Serial-->USB cable comes; but figured someone else would get a kick out of the WTF of it all.

I’ve seen many issues come up after a long haul. The wheels aren’t turning, but it’s still making the journey with vibrations. It’s entirely possible something physically changed. Check your throttle cable, intake manifold, vacuum lines, etc.
