I am totally stoked to finish this now, except mine wont be as pretty, since its 80% made from left over propane gas piping, and scrap parts. After work I am headed to harbor frieght for more shitty welding wire to finish up.

My friend Wassem made a jet engine in high school, like 9th grade. Crazy Lebanese! I forget which turbo he uses.

What should I use for the charge piping... here are some ideas I came up with.

-PVC

-welded up steel pipe with small coolant hoses for couplers

-or just coolant hosing for the whole charge pipe

I would just use coolant hose the whole way. It holds 14 psi of coolant.

Someone (maybe even me, I don't recall) posted up a go kart with a turbo from a Smart a while back. The compressor is something like 20mm IIRC. They are available on ebay for $125 or so.

EDIT:

It was the turbo shopping cart thread.

This reminds of the Turbo bar stool

http://sdsefi.com/features/apr00stool.htm

One of my neighbors a few years ago had one, had no clue how fast it would go, or even what it felt like to be on. He bought it because he wanted to watch his dumbass drunk friends wreck it when they got the ballz to climb aboard. I recall two drunken curb flips while I was living there.
