I finally chased down all the squeaks and rattles, now I'm realizing that my 2.5" exhaust drones pretty badly at highway speeds. Wondering who makes the most quiet 3" exhaust? Running an FMI kit with a GT2560

@shuiend made a custom for one of his customers that had an extra resonator and is reputed to be quiet. Don't know if he is free-lancing exhausts, but we'll see.

PS: wife and I signed up for SS this week.

a cat, resonator and the big *** magnaflow muffler will be nearly silent on a turbo car.

i have a 3" turbo back exhaust, no cat, not resonator, only the big magnaflow muffler and its very quiet. not stock quiet, but deep and quiet. sounds awesome.

Out of curiosity, what resonator do you run?

I'm currently running catless, with an ISR resonator and muffler. It's not necessarily loud, it's just that I have terrible drone between 60-65mph. I do have a Magnaflow muffler laying around, I'll try swapping that over and see if it helps.

I have the Magnaflow 12578 with a cat and a resonator. It sounds great, but no one is mistaking it for a stock exhaust. It’s louder as well as deeper. It’s described as “quiet” frequently here, but you have to keep in mind that it’s relative to other modified exhausts. I really enjoy the tone and the volume. It’s never loud enough to really be a nuisance to others, but honestly if it were truly as quiet as stock I think it would be perfect.
