NickC, you want a quick spool 300hp set up?

Why don't you want the bw iwg? They are supposed to be very, very good.

Just FYI, I have been told that the twinscroll 6258s won't make it to production. Doesn't mean I haven't ordered one from another supplier in the hopes that it actually exists.

If they come out with a twinscroll 6258 in a decent ar (.7-.8ish) I'm going to be rather upset. >: |

I talked to a Full Race tech support employee via e-mail a little, he was happy to discuss questions that weren't just ignorant consumer nonsense but couldn't tell me too too much. He did convince me on the IWG setup though. I thought that introducing the bypass exhaust into the turbulent flow right behind turbine didn't work as well and is why you see such long wastegate piping on separated gases downpipes. Apparently, BW has really done it right though because their IWGs are outperforming EWG setups. I guess you can do a lot for flow with a proper casting.

No real specifics on when but he said if they do release another housing for the small frame turbos, it may be in a few years, it would most likely be a T3 .83 A/R iwg housing. I said that I would hope it is twinscroll. He told me he loved his job too much to say more haha.

BorgWarner actually manufactures the turbocharger on the N55, so I know they're down with and recognize the benefit of the tiny twinscroll, but I'm guessing it's a question of market demand and whether they want to put further capital into what seems to be a rather costly line of new turbochargers. I can't imagine a better turbo for the general public though. It'd be ssooo responsive and be able to make up to 450hp, that's perfect!!!
