Help me decide on new setup/turbo
Hey guys, so my current setup/build can be seen here:
https://www.miataturbo.net/diy-turbo-discussion-14/custom-manifold-downpipe-exhaust-build-56198/
I think my turbo is starting to die, because I felt much more shaft play recently compared to when it was new. I'm trying to decide where i want to go next, and the main factor is that my current manifold has a t3 flange. I really want a turbo that spools sooner than what i have now, because I am going to start autocrossing in the near future.
This is the turbo I have now:

Current turbo has about 15k miles on it, which is decent for a 150 dollar ebay turbo I think. I'd like to know your opinions on how fast this godspeed turbo would spool compared to my current T3/T4, or how well a 3071 would work. I really want to run a 2871, but that would mean making another new manifold, which I could also do and sell my current setup.

What would you guys do in this situation?

More power isn't a goal right now, because it will be at least 6 months before I have a built motor. Basically my goal for max hp in my mind is between 230-250, and the current turbo isnt very efficient for that goal. I don't have ebc. I dont want to go below 2860 or 2871 in size, because the I will definitely be shooting for 350+ once i get a built motor. Budget for parts isnt too big, but I will save for whatever turbo I end up wanting/needing. Any new parts I can fab and sell off my old stuff to break even at least.
