Ebay turbo vendor Powermaxturbos

I am writing to share a recent positive experience with ebay vendor "powermaxturbos". As many on here know I've been using inexpensive china turbos on my budget project miata that has been set up for drag racing as well as street duty. I have recently replaced my gtx3076, which was purchased previously from powermaxturbos, with a gtx3576 purchased from them as well. After installing the gtx3576 and taking for a couple test rips I noticed a very faint oil burning odor but no smoking. The only evidence I could see of leakage was what appeared to be a small amount that seemed to be making its way between the mating point between the turbine housing and center section at the bottom of the turbo. My thought process when I noticed this was that maybe the turbine seal had a slow leak and was leaking into turbine housing, I figured the leak was small enough not to cause visible smoking out exhaust, but some was making its way past the mating joint at housing. I sent a preemptive email to powermaxturbos saying that "the new turbo may have an internal oil leak but I was not 100% sure as of yet". I also told them "if the turbine seal was leaking it was likely very minor but I would pull the turbo in a few weeks to confirm if it in fact was leaking". I really just wanted them to have an early email from me stating there may be an issue. if in fact there was one. There response to me was they were sending me a new one. I was surprised they were doing that right off the bat since I told them I was not 100% sure yet if there even was a problem with the turbo. They apparently value customer service, although some may be due to the fact I've purchased several turbos from them in the past. Anyways after further inspection and testing it appears the leak was not turbine seal, but gasket between center section and drain flange. Whats strange is no oil ran down the drain flange or hose and only ran into gap between turbine housing and center section. Its fixed now so I quess I will have a spare gtx3576.
I'm NOT posting this to condone someone choose a chinese turbo over a real garrett or other name brand. I'm just sharing my personal experience so if someone was dead set on using an ebay turbo this was my experience from this vendor.

They sent another center cartridge, sans housing. They didnt ask me to return old one, although I certainly will if they ask. I believe this is the 4th or 5th turbo I've purchased from them over the last couple years, so that may account for something as well. Just wanted to relay to others an ebay vendor that goes above and beyond. I was honest in my emails to them that I wasnt certain of failure and that I wouldn't know for sure until I took it off to inspect. I didnt ask them to send another, they just immediately replied they would. In fact, I followed up after there reply that they could wait if they wanted until I knew for sure, but they said no they would send now and for me just to let them know what I find when I do. Which I will do.

I have tested the gt3076 .63ar , gt3582 .63ar, gtx3076 .63ar as well as .82ar and now gtx3576 .82ar from them and satisfied with them all. Keep in mind how I'm using them now. All of the ones I used are likely on the large side for what most will need and will be very lazy for daily driving. When I first started tinkering with this car about 6 years ago I used an older garrett t3 with a super 60 compressor wheel that I had left over from a 240sx project about 20 or so years ago. It was a decent sized turbo for street driving with a 5 speed and 3" exhaust in my opinion.
