Do I need engine management?

yeah, well I consulted with my turbo honda friends who think I should leave it on and borrow my parents extra car. we have it in the garage now, going to replace the return line. Quick question, my IAC is missing the hose. I'm sure it can't measure the vacuum and adjust the idle like that. When it's plugged up it runs like crap, but when I unplug the connector it idles fine. I've searched for pictures to see where the hose, when hooked up is supposed to go but I have had no luck, can anyone enlighten me?

You need to read this:

You can thank me later.
At least you didn't blow a ring land off the number 2 piston, pressurize your crank case, shoot all the oil out the dipstick tube, blow your motor and set it on fire. This is much more horrifying. Ask me how I know.

Well....we ended up taking the whole kit off, plugging the line from the pan and plugging up the block. The wastegate was screwed, actually missing some parts. I will post pics of it later. The car is NA now...with no muffler, the cat was welded on and setup for the turbo manifold. It is quite loud, hopefully I can convince the muffler shop to make me a straght pipe. I am currently trying to track down my idle problem. I thought it might be some sort of vaccum issue. The car will start fine when the IAC is unplugged, but will not idle at all with it plugged in unless the car is warm. I am not sure what is causing it, there were several vaccum lines that were rerouted for the turbo setup. I went ahead and ordered another IAC from ebay. I also did something to screw up the cruise control which I need to fix. Not really sure what happened, it could have been fire related because the cable was kind of melted for the cruise. So you are saying the IAC only needs to be connected to the throttle body? What about the larger hose connector on it. What is that for?
On the bright side, we pulled out all the carpet. It was tan, and somene made an attempt to spray paint it black.
