^ +1 Thanks for all the info. It's only a matter of time before someone posts before and after dyno results.

Just got my connectors from the previously mentioned eBay seller. All four have approximately 3.235" sticking out. Three of the four are great, one has had it's clip broken off, but the rubber seal holds it in good enough for now. In fact I have one of the good ones clipped on, and I'm having difficulties getting it off. I'd rather pay $10 to buy a new one than go through the hassle of trying to get a replacement, the seller probably has some used part policy written out anyways.
If anyone's wondering, Toyota apparently wires their ground, trigger, and tachometer with 14 gauge, and the 12v with 12 gauge. I'm not sure if my gauges are right, I measured approximately .0825" for the 12v, and .0620" on the other three. Wikipedia says that's 14 and 12, however I think that doesn't include the insulation. P.S. while writing this I did finally manage to get it off, had to use a screwdriver while I pinched with my fingers. My thumb now hurts. |

Link to his items listing is eBay Seller: jarcocorpii: Car Truck Parts items on eBay Motors , should take you directly to all coils he has right now. I picked up 4 of the "TOYOTA COROLLA MATRIX CELICA MR2 IGNITION COIL 1ZZFE" (90080-19015) coils + plugs on them for $78 including 3-day shipping

I am responding to let you know that you really should go to the meet and greet section before you start posting elsewhere. Also, this is an old and long thread. Have you gone through this thread to see if the answer is in here You should do searches before asking questions. Be patient, there is a lot of useful info in here, but if you break the rules, you will pay a price for it. There is little tolerance of repeated questions that can be easily answered by doing searches here. Go to the meet and greet. Tell us a little about yourself and car. If you have questions, search first, and then ask questions in the proper section. Good luck |
I know everyone is into DIY solutions for everything but what about this: Boundary Engineering
A little expensive, I know, but seems like a pretty tight system, any opipions? |

You can always spend more on "better". The trick is to spend "enough" on each thing so the whole car has no weak links. A car with no weak links is infinitely better than a car with a 25 billion dollar engine and bad suspension.

just a heads-up. i have a set of 90919-02244 that I first bought and they have 2 raised rings on them that prevent them from going down into the spark plug well. at least on my 99 heads.
Just scored four 90080-19015s on Ebay for $60 with free shipping. Cheaper than the local deal. Now, off I go to Ballenger Motorsports to get connectors. |
Is there anyone running a COP setup on the 01+ insted of the factory COP and wire setup? If so how was it wired?
Have a great day, Jared |
My order for connectors from Ballenger Motorsports just shipped out today. I paid them 67 days ago. not a word on why the delay. I admit I only sent one followup message in that time period, but come on!

Mine, too. I actually proactively communicated with them, and know that they didn't get the connectors in from Japan until right about now. From the time they got the parts until they shipped was very short. It was the supplier in Japan taking forever.

I’m happy to say my COP’s have worked flawlessly for over 2 years now. However it never hurts to have a few extra ;)

The capacitance value of the two add up. |
