no, not really, unless you have an aftermarket ecu capable of firing sequential ignition, and ran the 2 extra wires.

Next question, who would be interested in a COP plate? Looks like I have access to a local forum member's spare cam cover to make it easier on me, and my plan is to mock up a plate then take the design to a machine shop and have them CNC or waterjet plates out of aluminum stock. But this probably can only be possible if there is enough interest. I'd also look into getting them powdercoated, but we'd need to agree on a single color probably. I was thinking black.

I don't know a price point at this time. I would assume on the order of $100, and maybe $120 or so 'coated, each. But be assured the endeavor is to get enough interest in the plates so that they can get fabricated. This is not a money making enterprise. I will donate my time and resources.

1.6 only at this time, sorry. But I'll also work on a 1.8 plate if I borrow a cam cover.

Why yes I do. I'm just wondering from a performance standpoint. I'm not getting any misfires now though, but will up the boost shortly. Might be worth the cost if someone finds a source for connectors.

Sadly.. I don't think i'd be able to use a plate you guys make. GTX valvecover is going to be custom... woo another part to make :p

And as I suspected, 90-93 ecu pins fit on the cops' terminals perfectly. I'm just going to make my own harness, and suggest others do the same. Hoping that I can find a local source for the pins. Tyco has a minimum order of 1000.

Next step is finding spades for the ignitor side.

Of course Airtex and SMP corp, who make replacement coils, don't make the connectors.

Honda Civic's (90+?) uses the same connectors for the ECU as Miata. Source those for the terminals. The ECU is located in the passanger footwell and junkyards are littered with those cars.

You guys mean the pins that connect to the ECU? AEM sells them in strips of like 8 or so. I know I got a bunch with my AEM EMS for connecting various accessories to available terminals. I believe the part number for them is even in my AEM catalog.

If someone would ship me one Corolla coil, I will take it to the lab and figure out its optimal dwell curve.
I did the same for FM for the dwell maps for the Hydra for the NA, NB, and 01+ coils.

the ecu pins I refer to are the ones that slide into the ecu harness, on the car side of the harness. They slide on the pins and actually lock into place firmly. I happen to have 2 from the FM Link installation kit. Need 14 more. Scott, I'll look through those links later. Thanks

<edit> the specific part you listed will not work. too small. the cop connector outside measurement is 1" wide x 7/16" high. 4 male rectangular pins inside. I don't have a micrometer to get down in there but they appear 1/16" wide and .7mm high. They are evenly spaced left and right, but are set up closer to the top of the coil than to the bottom.

if you want the reverse of what you are using on the ignitor you posted, then yeah the two part numbers I gave are what you want, you just gotta determine size.

I am obviously not Ben, but the corolla coils I have the pins are rectangular, not circular. However my part number is different then Lazzer's. Will post when I get off from work. They seem visually identical. And they are from an 03 Corolla.

And on the tyco schematic it seems they are circular (the female connectors that plug into the obviously male pins on the coils.)

that one is close but the widest one listed is too narrow by a few mm. The OD width of the cop plug is 24.Xmm, so the ID of the harness needs to be at least 25mm. the terminal spacing of that one looked pretty good left adn right. as far as I can tell with my tape measure, the pins are 4mm center to center. again, I only have a tape here, not really the right tool for the job.
