Default can this be done? or am i crazy?

I was looking into maybe doing a turbo kit for my car. But it would definitely have to be a budget build. I'm not looking for a whole lot more, just waking my car up a bit. I've done some research and i feel like my goal may be reasonable, however i definitely want some other opinions before i go pursuing anything. I was looking into doing a DIY kit on the cheap using a small factory turbo from another car and a piggy back such as a Rising Rate fuel pressure regulator (really want some insight on this if anyone is willing to share). Basically my questions are, Can i reach my power goal of ~130whp? And can it be done cheap or will i run into nightmares if i dont spend 1500 or more on a manifold and downpipe? Thanks

You could probably reach 130 with I/H/E and a good tune. You may want to re-think the turbo if all you want is 130.

What year car?
You don't need a turbo for that power level.
Based on what you posted, you will blow it up if you try anyway.

130whp with a 1.8 naturally aspirated is not hard. Just a few bolt on parts.

For a 1.6, still doable, probably a few more parts.

Could do a DIY turbo setup on the cheap, yes. Also could do a used M45 SC for about 1,000 or so and easily hit 130 (probalby 140)whp with high reliability.
