Default Anyone have experience with Kinugawa?

A guy was selling his turbos off this R32 GTR and I ended up with one of them. It's a GT2560R but it has a Skyline-specific turbine housing. There's a $300 Garrett housing, or a Kinugawa housing for half the price. I don't plan on maxing out the boost, just something conservative to be around the low-200hp range. Was wondering if anyone has had or heard of any horror stories with Kinugawa.

I have had good overall experiences. I did have trouble with a waste gate actuator. The turbo needed an offset arm, and thus the piston pull was not straight, and the piston rubbed against the diaphragm. Other parts from them have been great.

Same here. Street and track use @ 1.5b, no problem.

I've got their wastegate on my 2860. So far I've been super happy with it, it came with a lot of different springs, was easy to mount, and works great.

I'm running this same turbo on my car. I got the turbine housing and it's been great. No leaks and absolutely zero boost creep. Didn't have to port it.

Kinugawa, Arashi both those companies are actually very high quality. They are based in Taiwan which is MUCH nicer than China. A lot of high end bike frames are built in taiwan, i dont mind products from there one bit.
