Hey guys, about to pull the trigger on a efr 6258 and was looking at their options and noticed they do a 90 degree outlet housing but noticed no one runs one in their builds, i was wondering if there was a reason why besides it costs extra and is another step?
I'm planning to use one of these in my car (if I ever get time to do it) due to limitations imposed by my re-routed A/C lines and drying cannister (RHD problem).
Currently I have a 270% Si elbow to the intercooler which I hate so the 90* outlet will mean I can use a less extreme Si elbow:
Whether or not you choose to use it depends on what options are available to you and what restrictions you have.
The other option I MAY have is to redo the A/C lines and move the cannister somewhere else (trying to clock the turbo down currently causes the BOV to hit the cannister).
It really just depends on how you plan to route your intercooler piping. I personally run one, but I also took my piping over top of the radiator instead of down and around.
Well it looks like I didn't search hard enough. For the piping I'm replacing the 90 degree outlet I feel is going to work out best. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't an obscure reason they aren't common
