Default 4 bolt flange (300zx TT 2554r)

Hello all!

I recently acquired a turbo off an 90s 300zx TT, but the flange is 4 bolt and different than what I've dealt with. Does anyone have any info or leads on where I could source something to have a custom downpipe made for this?

I found something potentially, but figured I'd ask before I spend $70 on this:

Atpturbo.com probably has the flanges. Though the TTZ didn’t come with 2554s, they were much smaller TB02/22 turbos. I wouldn’t build a system around one.

Thanks for the ATP recommendation, though I can't find anything there that suits my needs. Fair point, this is definitely a TB2206 model, and you're right its a bit smaller. In your opinion, what would the drawbacks be? I'm not looking to break records with this car, just add a little more zip to it!

One drawback would be a non-standard flange...
so when you inevitably move on for more power youd be replacing more than just the turbo.

They are all correct, you can make it work but would end up being custom and spending your money twice once you want even a little more. Is this for 1.6 or a 1.8? A quick search for a compressor map/info on those tb2206's suggest it probably tops out around 14psi and ~20 LB/MIN of airflow in its efficiency range, so if absolutely everything else (exhaust, intake, ECU & real tune, etc) is supporting it you could probably make 190-200whp

which is also easily achievable with standard flange, cheap log manifold, and decently sized ebay/cheap turbo

Edit: also, think about the kind of powerband you actually want... my bet is this turbo would spool up decently well, but taper towards redline and sort of fall on its face. I had a really small t25 on my car with the last setup and it spooled hard made great torque down low but REALLY struggled past 5500/6000rpms and was putting it way out of its efficiency range trying to maintain boost and power up top

I appreciate all the information and recommendations, but I do think this turbo is going to do what I want it too, just honestly looking for leads on that flange.

For the cost of the flange plus having a custom DP made, you can buy a chinacharger and OTS DP that works with an OTS manifold. And make more power, and have an upgrade path if you want bigger turbo down the road.

Why spend money once when you can go through the fun of doing it twice?
