1.6 Intercooler IACV/ WG signal placement
Hello,
Currently in the works of turbocharging my mx5... yes that's right it's an mx5 over here in Australia.
Details:
The car is naturally aspirated currently all stock
Has an adaptronic 440d, I have done the afm delete and have added a throttle position sensor and an IAT sensor that is just dangling at the moment.
I have some flowforce 640cc's on the way and I am sorting out a clutch soon.
I am adding a FMIC while N/A so I guess it's more of an interfooler..
Have a few questions about intercooler routing.
Firstly is using an elbow fine for the ISCV OK?, I originally was going to use a straight 5/8" barb to 3/8npt but couldnt get the pre-formed hose I had to fit.
Next, as i am using pre-loved piping, there is a nipple on this piece that is the same piece as above (POST IC LEADING TO TB) Could I use this as my wastegate signal at this location? (probably a good 40cm away from TB, or am I better off blocking it off and getting a new fitting closer. I assume this will be better than running it back into the compressor outlet.
Lastly I just want to know if this location below is acceptable for the IAT sensor as I have read that being too close to the top radiator hose can cause false readings.
If I said anything retarded don't refrain from roasting me lol, just coming here before I f*ck up anything.
and sorry for my crude illustrations.
Thanks !
