Default Deatschwerks injectors, ev1, ev2, ... ev14?

Hey, I'm looking at upgrading my injectors now and I need something better than the current EV1 injectors I'm using (rx7 550's). I was curious where these injectors stand vs other injectors (EV1, or the newest EV14 like id1000's).

I've been searching around and cannot find squat, help me out Mark!

Thanks

I have deatschwerks 700cc compact EV14's and they work well on my V6, but haven't tried anything else.

I believe in the miata fitment they're still using EV6, and they have the universal sized EV14. But that may have changed since the last time I looked. Any clarification there?

Our application specific line-up utilizes at newer Denso housing and coil, the OE Denso injector's successor.

1990-05 | DeatschWerks

Compared to the EV1 design injectors, ours are a vast improvement with better response times and lower minimum pulse-widths. We also have new injector data listed for every injector we offer on the site.

We do have a Universal EV14 line-up now. If you are wanting an injector that is the same height as stock or the RC's, choose an 18U part number (60mm). This does have a 14mm upper oring, though.

You could use our 17U part number (48mm) with a 12mm tall / 11mm oring top-hat. We do have them available.

Since you have RC's, I do have a double-sided adapter that goes from our EV14's USCAR connector to the Minitimer connector like on the RC, so you wouldn't have to make additional wiring changes.

Thanks Mark, I'm looking at the pnp ones. So these are similar to maybe an ev6 in performance then? I'm actually on a ms1, so resolution isn't that great anyways. I don't think i "need" the ev14's.

You really shouldn't see a difference in performance between the app.spec Denso and the EV14. We were using the EV14 for other applications and the demand for them has risen over the past couple years, so we decided to make them available as a universal fitment.

I see that the dead times listed for the 90-05 miata specific has dropped significantly from the 600cc ones I bought a couple years back.
These were the cats meow back then. What type are these and when was the change?

The 600cc was upped to 700cc sometime last year. The offset data that is listed on the site is a bit different than the latency data we provided in the past. We rolled the new data out with the new site the week of SEMA in November.

The battery offset data should be better fitting data for the information many of the tuning systems are requesting.
