What did the election do (or not) in your state?

You would know what I mean if you saw my facebook feed and live stream videos of St. Pete. It was all just pure ignorance. Especially from my own age bracket. My peers definitely upset me the most with comments like "Women have a champion, Barack Obama" and "This is the best day of my life!!! The middle class is saved!". All this from people who have recently graduated from established four year universities and still work for minimum wage with no solid prospects in their future.
I really didn't mind that Bill Nelson won the senate seat because I honestly didn't like either candidate. I was more disappointed that the amendment to opt out of the individual mandate for Obamacare was overturned. Although it wouldn't have actually mattered given the Supreme Court's overruling decision it would have made a statement.

VA amended its Constitution to prevent the State from enforcing eminent domain for private/profit use in the name of jobs or better economy.
In Norfolk the State had been forcably taking land and giving it to Old Dominion University, even when the campus had no plans to expand or take the land. Basically contractors were coming in with plans to build, having their low-ball offers to purchase denied, and then went to the State to get what they wanted through the legal use of force. They made off with awesome deals on property/land and then finally pitched the dea to the University.
It passed with flying colors. But unfortunately the State can still use eminent domain in the use of public use, ultilities, and in cases of public nusance.
Otherwise, all the incumbents of the House won their seats back, and the Pres. and Senate went blue again because of the heavy urban populous.

CA:
-passed an important sales/income tax increase to prevent major education cuts and close our state deficit
-strengthened penalties for human sex traffickers
-softened our "three strikes" law so you don't get life in prison for petty theft anymore
-passed a law requiring companies based out-of-state to pay income tax based on the revenue generated in-state (basically closes a loophole)

Legalized the possession of up to 1oz, manufacture of up to 6 plants, and use of marijuana by anyone over the age of 21; requires it's distribution through State Revenue offices whereby it will be taxed much like alcohol.
reverse the 2010 Supreme Court Citizens United decision
Passed an amendment that instructs CO Congressional members to propose and support an effort at a national level to repeal the Citizens United decision.
Enabled the Governor to make political appointments to 325 more State offices than he/she was previously able, bypassing an election for those offices.

MI:
the repeal on michigan’s emergency manager law is to close to call yet
no collective bargaining
no increase in renewable energy spending
and we're not letting that no good scumbag "matty" build a second bridge across the Detroit river.

I don't have kids but I always tell my friends to have their kids get Miatas because they can only haul one passenger at a time. I had a pickup truck as a teen and it was loaded with kids way too many times in high school. The drinking age for 3.2 beer in Kansas the year I lived there was 18. High school seniors could buy and drink legally.
