There is also lots of evidence that people are just racist in ways that we don't expect. For instance, there are studies that show that in stressful situations police officers view black children, on average, 4 or 5 years older than they view white children which could and does play out in all sorts of different ways.
its probably cause 10-yr white kids aren't robbing liquor stores at gun point until they are 14-15yo. :P

Armed with cakes, flowers, and signs proclaiming “we are not criminals,” an angry migrant mob suddenly turned against a Danish immigration official after she refused to speak with them on a recent visit to a deportation center.
With the help of police and security forces, as well as a very dedicated driver, the Danish Minister Inger Støjberg managed to flee the scene on the island of North Zealand filled with rejected “asylum” seekers.
Danish Minister for Immigration, Integration and Housing Inger Støjberg was visiting the Sjælsmark deportation center on the island of North Zealand for a photo op on Friday.
Danish broadcaster DR reports the photo op did not go as planned for the minister as a group of failed asylum seekers became angry that they were not given enough attention.

more fake news:
For those unfamiliar with Internet memes, Sam Hyde is an Internet comedian whose name and identity has become a meme every time a tragedy like the one in Sutherland Springs or Las Vegas occurs. Social media pranksters often forward Sam Hyde’s name and photographs to news stations digging for information about breaking news.
His name and likeness has been used to prank news stations both locally and internationally, sometimes with alterations like “Samir Al-Hayeed.” The Sam Hyde terrorist meme is often accompanied by the phrase, “He can’t keep getting away with it.”
Hyde used to have a show on Adult Swim that was later canceled despite receiving good ratings after complaints were forwarded to the network about Hyde’s edgy Internet personality and jokes inspired by 4chan.

or we can do this:
FDNY drops physical test requirement amid low female hiring rate | New York Post
The Fire Department has stopped requiring probationary firefighters to pass a job-related physical-skills test before getting hired a move that critics derided as a lowering of standards.
The move by first-year Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro, which allows probies to fail components of the Functional Skills Training test but still graduate from the Fire Academy, comes amid criticism of the departments low hiring rate of women.

City agrees to lower test scores for police exam
DAYTON The citys Civil Service Board and the U.S. Department of Justice have agreed on a lower passing score for the police recruit exam after it was rejected because not enough blacks passed the exam.

US Court Says it's Okay for Police Departments to Refuse to Hire Someone who is Too Smart
The response that he received was completely out of left field. The city responded that it removed Jordan from consideration because he scored a 33 on the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test, and that to prevent frequent job turnover caused by hiring overqualified applicants the city only interviewed candidates who scored between 20 and 27.
The city of New London claims that People within certain ranges achieve a degree of job satisfaction and are likely to be happy and therefore stay on the job. They apparently believed that Jordan was too smart to be happy being a cop.
This reasoning did not seem logical to Jordon so he filed a civil rights action in the District Court for the District of Connecticut alleging that the city and Harrigan denied him equal protection in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment and Article 4, Section 20, of the Connecticut Constitution.

"You must understand that our civilization is so vast that we can't have our minorities upset and stirred. Ask yourself, What do we want in this country, above all? People want to be happy, isn't that right? Haven't you heard it all your life? I want to be happy, people say. Well, aren't they? Don't we keep them moving, don't we give them fun? That's all we live for, isn't it? For pleasure, for titillation? And you must admit our culture provides plenty of these."
"Colored people don't like Little Black Sambo. Burn it. White people don't feel good about Uncle Tom's Cabin. Burn it. Someone's written a book on tobacco and cancer of the lungs? The cigarette people are weeping? Bum the book. Serenity, Montag. Peace, Montag. Take your fight outside. Better yet, into the incinerator. Funerals are unhappy and pagan? Eliminate them, too. Five minutes after a person is dead he's on his way to the Big Flue, the Incinerators serviced by helicopters all over the country. Ten minutes after death a man's a speck of black dust. Let's not quibble over individuals with memoriams. Forget them. Burn them all, burn everything. Fire is bright and fire is clean."
We know how to nip most of them in the bud, early. You can't build a house without nails and wood. If you don't want a house built, hide the nails and wood. If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the Government is inefficient, top-heavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely `brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy. Any man who can take a TV wall apart and put it back together again, and most men can nowadays, is happier than any man who tries to slide rule, measure, and equate the universe, which just won't be measured or equated without making man feel bestial and lonely. I know, I've tried it; to hell with it. So bring on your clubs and parties, your acrobats and magicians, your dare-devils, jet cars, motorcycle helicopters, your sex and heroin, more of everything to do with automatic reflex. If the drama is bad, if the film says nothing, if the play is hollow, sting me with the Theremin, loudly. I'll think I'm responding to the play, when it's only a tactile reaction to vibration. But I don't care. I just like solid entertainment." Beatty got up. "I must be going. Lecture's over. I hope I've clarified things. The important thing for you to remember, Montag, is we're the Happiness Boys, the Dixie Duo, you and I and the others. We stand against the small tide of those who want to make everyone unhappy with conflicting theory and thought. We have our fingers in the dyke. Hold steady. Don't let the torrent of melancholy and drear philosophy drown our world. We depend on you. I don't think you realize how important you are, we are, to our happy world as it stands now." Beatty shook Montag's limp hand. Montag still sat, as if the house were collapsing about him

we need more government to prevent people from doing things. we need more laws that prevent more people from buying stuff:
...
A day after a gunman massacred parishioners in a small Texas church, the Air Force admitted on Monday that it had failed to enter the man’s domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that could have blocked him from buying the rifle he used to kill 26 people.Sign Up For the Morning Briefing Newsletter
Under federal law, the conviction of the gunman, Devin P. Kelley, for domestic assault on his wife and toddler stepson — he had cracked the child’s skull — should have stopped Mr. Kelley from legally purchasing the military-style rifle and three other guns he acquired in the last four years.

Studies have indeed been conducted on anonymizing the application process, and while the results vary from case to case, the general findings have been that:
Anonymizing the application process produces significantly better results from an ethnicity standpoint in respect to actually getting the phone call for an interview invitation - employers are indeed biased towards hiring people with white-sounding names.
Anonymizing the application process produces a result that is unchanged to slightly worse for a gender diversification standpoint. Prospective employers are actually biased slightly against hiring men.
But don't we already know that ethnic sounding names fare worse in the job world? Haven't we known this for at least two generations? If we have, then why aren't non-white parents giving their children white-sounding names at birth? If parents choose to name their child Michael instead of Shaquan, Amir, Muhammad, or Li Qiang, not only is the child not going to actually perceive a difference between their given name and the name that they didn't receive, but aren't they also set up to have a better life? If parents know that their child's given name is going to harm them in life because of the associated ethnicity of that name, but they name their child that anyways, isn't that a form of systemic racism imposed on an ethnic group by it's own doing?

I'm not sure how to comment on the Tulsa stuff, I'm from the west coast and haven't even visited. But yes you are correct in 1921 that was a wealthy, affluent African American neighborhood. So whoever destroyed it, that is about as much of a terrorist attack as there is yes? I'm not sure I'm able to speculate on the motive beyond calling it racism. I can hear the dismissal in some posters' voices. If you don't think this scale of massacre has a direct relation today nearly 100 years later, I'm not sure what to say to you.
Reading the first paragraph of the Wiki page doesn't count as research.
Nor does it explain "institutionalized racism." If you want to have a debate you should know the words and phrases that you are using.

Others believe (correctly) that they have every right to give their children extremely non-western-sounding names, and believe (incorrectly) that it's every one else's obligation to respect / accept that.

this is want liberals want in Obamacare:
NHS provokes fury with indefinite surgery ban for smokers and obese
NHS provokes fury with indefinite surgery ban for smokers and obese
They've added a new $100 / month smoker surcharge:
I'm not in any way annoyed by this. If anything, $100 a month seems like an insanely low figure. I hope / assume that this figure will creep up sharply in the coming years.
Long story short: if you're going to deliberately destroy your body by smoking, over-eating, randomly inserting glass objects into your anus, etc., then it's not unreasonable for organizations which fund or deliver healthcare to hold you accountable for this.

No, it's a supplementary-income plan (think Aflac) which pays out to cover non-medical expenses (rent, power bill, etc) during periods of extended illness which prevent an employee from working and earning a paycheck. Mostly relevant to those who are hourly or not already covered by a short-term disability plan and, and have not saved up sufficient capital to get themselves through hard times.
