A Keller police officer who was fired for several policy violations has also been let go from another law enforcement agency in Texas and is under investigation for excessive use of force, the Victoria Advocate reported.
Officer Daniel Bettes was the subject of many complaints during his seven-year tenure at the Keller Police Department until he was fired Sept. 10, 2007.
...
In January 2009, Bettes was hired by the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy, and, according to reports by the Victoria Advocate newspaper, he was fired in November 2014 after he reportedly violated office policies when he used a Taser on a truck driver twice during a traffic stop in October.

I declare myself innocent. There is no difference between this shitty, corrupt, poor, african country and when police investigate themselves of wrongdoing.

Zambia's top prosecutor drops charges against self
Zambia's top prosecutor on Friday stunned a magistrate when he refused to prosecute himself on charges of abuse of office and declared himself a free man.
"I am the director of public prosecution of the republic of Zambia and I have decided to enter a nolle prosequi against all the charges," Mutembo Nchito told the magistrate from the dock, using the Latin term for refusing to pursue a case.
Magistrate Lameck Mwale will rule on March 2 on whether Nchito can prosecute himself or not.

SAN DIEGO — A federal lawsuit over a gun part dealer’s free speech rights on the Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page has settled — for a mere $20 and attorney’s fees.
Dimitri Karras, owner of Ares Armor in Oceanside, sued San Diego County in October after sheriff’s officials deleted his combative comments and then banned him from posting anything further.
Karras claimed it was a violation of his First Amendment rights because the Facebook page was run by a government entity and therefore a public forum for all taxpayers. The county argued that commenters must follow rules — such as staying respectful and on topic — to post to the site, and that Karras’s posts were neither.

In late October 2014 a 16-year-old boy called SOS alarm in Sweden. He and his friend were shot. The operator did not believe him.
The 16-year-old boy who's talking was shot in the head, entrance wound by the left ear and exit wound by his right eye. This happened in Norrahammar, close to Jönköping. The boy who's calling survived but his friend died.

A Florida police dog is being kicked off the force after biting a doughnut shop worker and an officer in separate incidents.
Officials say 4-year-old Renzo had been with the Coconut Creek Police Department for more than a year. The Belgian Malinois bit an officer in November while tracking a suspect. Last week, he burst out of a patrol car and bit a Dunkin' Donuts worker in the calf.

SUBJ: THANK YOU FOR THE 20 DOLLARS

Dear Sheriff,
I want to congratulate you on your wise decision to settle our case before things
got too far out of hand and further damaged the taxpayers. Paying out approximately twenty three thousand dollars to my lawyers was a good choice for you. It’s too bad that it came to that. I gave you multiple opportunities to do the right thing prior to filing against you. You refused and now the County must pay for your arrogance.
I will hang the twenty dollars I demanded that you pay me, on my wall. It will be my trophy. I will not be cashing it.
I want you to know exactly why I only demanded twenty dollars for myself. This case was not financially motivated. I did this to show you something. YOU ARE NOT KING. You are filth, scum, a putrid embarrassing stain on this Country. You can be beaten at your own game.
You may have not admitted wrong doing per the settlement BUT your actions and your policies just made the County twenty three thousand dollars poorer. The facts speak for themselves. I didn’t pay you, you paid me. I hope you have learned that “Crime doesn’t pay.”
I wonder if you ever lay awake at night and see poor Vicki Weaver’s face. I
wonder if you have even the semblance of a moral conscience that haunts your dreams. I wonder if there is any humanity left in that frail body of yours.
You pled the 5th due to your fear of being prosecuted for MURDER! You were the Agent in Charge Mr. Gore. You presided over that poor woman being shot dead while she held her infant child. If there is a God, I hope he has a warm place in hell with your name it.
Do you want to know my favorite part about you paying out this money? Everyone will get to see that standing up to thugs like yourself is acceptable.
The World, it is changing my friend. Murdering wannabe tyrants like yourself are on your way out. Good Riddance.
Sincerely,
Dimitrios Karras,

"dumb bitch" pulled out of car, tased, and arrested for filming police.
the cops deleted this video off her phone but it saved to the cloud. all charges were dropped when they found out they didn't purge the evidence.

after all the bullying, they still didn't search his bag. weird, huh? for an "area without civil rights" and for "everyone's safety" why didn't they search his bag if they were "allowed" to?

The San Diego Sheriffs Det (aka, people of San Diego) also had to fork over $23k to Mr. Karras attorneys. The guy owns Ares Armor, one of the larger sellers of 80% receivers in Cali. I've bought several things from them, fantastic company. They were also last year very famously raided by the ATF... Ares Armor dispute with the ATF. Dimitrios does not **** around.

Missouri bill proposes banning availability of police captured footage | Ben Swann Truth In Media
Senate Bill No. 331 reads, “Any recording captured by a camera, which is capable of recording video or audio…shall not be a public record… [and] shall not be disclosed by a law enforcement agency except upon order of a court in the course of a criminal investigation or prosecution or civil litigation.” Footage captured on any police camera attached to a piece of police equipment, car, aircraft, or police person, would therefore be protected by this bill.
