25,000 bucks, not bad but unfortunately the officers still wont be held accountable. He should use that money to help move away from that shit place.

people really need to stop calling the police on others, because the police will shoot and kill you for any reason.

Cops shoot and kill man holding toy gun in Walmart | MSNBC

A young man holding a toy rifle in a Walmart was shot and killed on Tuesday by police in the Dayton suburb of Beavercreek, Ohio, according to Raw Story. John Crawford, 22, was carrying a toy gun he picked up in the store, alarming two other shoppers.

LeeCee Johnson, the mother of Crawford’s children, told the Dayton Daily News she was on the phone with him while he was browsing in the store. “We was just talking,” she told the Ohio newspaper. “He said he was at the video games playing videos and he went over there by the toy section where the toy guns were. And the next thing I know, he said ‘It’s not real,’ and the police start shooting and they said ‘Get on the ground,’ but he was already on the ground because they had shot him. And I could hear him just crying and screaming. I feel like they shot him down like he was not even human.”

CBS reports that two other Walmart customers, April and Ronald Ritchie, saw Crawford walking around the store with what appeared to be a gun and called the police. The police station reports that officers asked Crawford to put down the weapon, and opened fire when he did not comply. He later died of his gun shot wounds at a nearby hospital, where his death was ruled a homicide by the Montgomery County coroner’s office. A request for comment by msnbc to the Beavercreek police department was not immediately returned.

gun safety:

Courthouse News Service

A Chino, Calif. motorcycle cop left his police-issued rifle "unlocked, unsecured and without a trigger lock" at an elementary school, and a student pulled the trigger and shot another student in the eye, the 8-year-old boy's parents claim in court.

Lucky McVay's mother sued the City of Chino, its Police Department, the Chino Valley Unified School District and Santa Cruz Gun Locks on Aug. 5, in San Bernardino County Court.

The McVays claim that on Oct. 23, 2013, a Chino police officer arrived at Newman Elementary School and "left his police department-issued rifle on his motorcycle unlocked unsecured and without a trigger lock. At said time and place another student of the Newman Elementary School pulled the trigger on the rifle and it discharged, striking plaintiff. Plaintiff was struck by the bullet of the rifle and shrapnel or a bullet fragment hit his left arm left thigh and right eye."

The City of Chino and the Chino Valley Unified School District denied the family's claims for injury.

The family seeks punitive damages for negligence, gross negligence, emotional distress, negligent hiring and supervision, and product liability - against Santa Cruz Gun Locks.

They are represented by James Devitt, with Devitt & Saltzburg, of Los Angeles.
why does a motorcycle cop at an elementary school need an AR strapped to his bike in the first place? and why doesnt he get stopped by the police to investigate if he has any warrants?

Braineack 08-12-2014 01:30 PM

so, they say he's not doing anything illegal.

he answers their questions.

but, he got a call against him, so all his rights go out the window.

i never saw that caveat in any court case or constitution.

This video cuts off half way through the incident. But this officer snagged my phone and cuffed me just so I couldn't record him anymore. Audio still rolls for a while.

I heard about this when it happened. I heard that no one was injured though.

Watched that video yesterday. Even as someone who is not overly experienced with guns, I saw a whole hell of a lot wrong with what was happening.

off-duty officer in Brazil demonstrates why more citizens should carry.

hostage is so fucking lucky that the cop was a good shot.

I believe it was full auto. I have seen videos where similar things happen (minus killing someone) with handguns. Usually it is an weak, (as in physically) inexperienced shooter getting tricked into shooting a 500 S&W.
The recoil will move the gun in the hand enough for the trigger to reset. The shooter is still clenching their hand from the recoil and it will cause the gun to fire again, usually straight up in the air. I would find a youtube video, but I am at work.

I'm pretty sure this is the only reason the 500 S&W exists.

Based on observations, I am inclined to agree with you.

I actually think the .460 S&W is cooler though. Rifle muzzle velocity out of a pistol? sure no problem

police profiles gun owners by detaining them.
does not understand reason suspicion when he asks to check chambers; even if there is a law on the books, it's not a police officer's job to check to see if people are compliant with laws unless he has reasonable articulatable suspicion they are violating that law.

I really don't think anyone should be allowed to own an RPG. What use does some have for one? If some one owned one, where would they even get a rocket??

Braineack 10-16-2014 11:41 AM

What use does some have for one?
To defend oneself from an oppressive zombie apocolypse - and because the second amendment says so. "On principle" is a purpose.

Free rocket included with every purchase of an RPG. I don't understand the problem. You should be less worried about the adverb in "RPG" and more worried about the noun.
