People who need something to feel victimized by. Victimhood has become a form of social currency, in which the more you can demonstrate that you have been disadvantaged or victimized, the more weight your voice carries amongst like-minded peers. Privilege-checking is an outgrowth of this concept.
This isn't the first time I've heard that argument. We're getting to a point at which the word "rape" is losing its value, and being appropriated to mean "a man did or said something which I didn't like."
For instance, if I put a chemical into the water going into FaeFlora's house, as a result of which he winds up with a permanent metallic taste in his mouth and his cats go deaf, that would be pretty horrible, but not rape. By comparison, if FaeFlorida were to indicate that they identify as female, then it would be rape, even retroactively.

Like in California. They started putting "this product contains chemicals known to the state of CA to cause cancer" stickers on things and at first you'd be like ok sure. Now the stickers are on ******* everything even the elevators have them mounted above the buttons! So now my guess is nobody even notices the signs and the most toxic horrible chemicals are treated the same as elevator buttons. Great job, everyone!

Yorsterday's* XKCD seemes relevant:
Title text: I thought of another bad opinion! I couldn't find anyone who expressed it specifically, but still, the fact that I can so easily imagine it is infuriating! I'm gonna tell everyone about it!

* Yorsterday = not actually yesterday, but not so long ago that it would be inexcusable to mistake it for yesterday, presupposing that you have a lot on your mind.

I claimed that a white male raped me. By definition, you must believe me, or else you are literally Pol Pot.
(I'm tired of Hitler comparisons.)
Also, I'm 100% serious. He replied to an email I'd sent him with a joke in which the punch-line involved someone being fat. That made me slightly ashamed of my body, and that is rape.

Florida Woman...
Orlando flight delayed after woman brings 'emotional support squirrel' on plane
Updated: 7:37 AM EDT Oct 10, 2018
Police had to remove a woman who brought an "emotional support squirrel" on a Frontier Airlines flight headed from Orlando, Florida, to Cleveland.
Frontier says the passenger had noted in her reservation that she was bringing an emotional support animal with her on Flight 1612 Tuesday night.
But she did not indicate it was a squirrel.
The airline says rodents, including squirrels, are not allowed. The airline says police were called when the passenger refused to leave the plane.
Police requested the other passengers disembark while officers dealt with the woman, who was eventually escorted into the main terminals.
The flight left for Cleveland about two hours later.

Are there really such pathetic excuses for human beings that they have no friends or family to support them?
Put down your teddy bear, and grow the **** up. Either that, or eat a bullet.

New York City creates gender-neutral 'X' option for birth certificates
OCTOBER 9, 2018 / 4:53 PM Daniel Trotta
NEW YORK (Reuters) - People who were born in New York City and do not identify as male or female can now opt for a third gender category of X on their birth certificates.
Mayor Bill de Blasio signed the provision into a law on Tuesday, making New York City the fifth place to do so after California, Oregon, Washington state and New Jersey. Three states and Washington, D.C., also allow gender-neutral driver licenses.
Transgender advocates have been pressing governments to allow identity documents to be more easily changed to match gender identity. They say strict male and female categories are a form of discrimination against transgender people that labels them against their will.
The New York City law allows nonbinary and gender-nonconforming people to change their birth certificates from the M or F designation they were assigned at birth to X with a personal affidavit. No document from a doctor is required.
“This change may seem small but it is monumental,” said Tanya Asapansa-Johnson Walker, a transgender activist who took part in the signing ceremony and spoke of the anxiety that goes with living with gender-mismatched identification.
“Imagine having to out yourself over and over and over again to strangers,” Walker said. “Future generations will not have to suffer.”
Among those participating in the ceremony was actor Asia Kate Dillon, a nonbinary person who plays one on the cable television series “Billions.” Assigned female at birth, Dillon identifies as neither male nor female and uses they, them and their as pronouns.
The gender-neutral birth certificate follows a 2014 law that allowed transgender people in New York City to easily change the gender on their birth certificates from male to female or vice versa by removing the requirements of a legal name change and surgery. Now non-binary people can choose the third option.
The issue of what happens when another state does not recognize the X designation has yet to be tested in the courts.
To change passport gender, the U.S. government requires a physician to confirm the person has received clinical treatment for gender transition. So far there are only male or female designations on passports, but a U.S. District Court in Denver ruled in September that the State Department cannot deny a gender-neutral passport to an intersex person.
De Blasio said the law afforded New Yorkers the freedom to “tell the government who they are and not the other way around.”
“Imagine if you were told you were something that you did not consider yourself to be,” de Blasio said.
To transgender New Yorkers, he said, “You be you. Live your truth. And know that New York City will have your back.”
