Generation Wuss and related crap

My Cousin would be proud that the University finally took a stand here since they didn't defend the professor at all originally. He went to Evergreen and his viewpoint on the school was very interesting to me. His mom (my aunt) is the hippy type and he and his brother were raised incredibly liberal. He said that Evergreen was a great college and if you were the self-starter with focus that it enabled you to get the most of the higher education atmosphere by designing your own curriculum. He also said that if you had no direction and were just some stoner who wanted to go there for the "culture" and a random non-focused humanities degree that it was the worst place for you to be and you would just waste 4 years of your life. He said there were far more of the slackers than the self-starters and while he arrived at the campus considering himself far left leaning he left the college in the middle of the political spectrum because much of the entitled student body turned him off completely. He got his degree in special education and teaches kids with IQs from 40-80 basic life and social skills to prepare them as much as possible for the real world. He's the kind of guy you know is really going to have a massive impact on many family's lives and would normally assume is a huge liberal so it was very interesting to hear his perspective on the matter.

Students at the University of California, Berkeley attempted to shut down their midterm exam recently, claiming their mental and physical health was at stake.
In a video posted on YouTube, four leftist students demanded a “take-home essay with significant time to prepare” replace the scheduled in-class exam. The professor of the class, Harley Shaiken, was less than cooperative with their demands.
“This is a campus that is truly related throughout Latin America to the notion of free speech,” Shaiken explained to the laughter of the protesters.
The snowflake students claimed their “well-beings are being put on the line because of the emotional, mental, and physical stress that this university is compounding with what is already going on in [their] everyday lives.”
“Have you ever checked ‘unlisted’ or ‘undocumented immigrant’? I don’t think so!” one protester shouted at the professor. Keep in mind, Shaiken has written about and advocated for improved workers’ rights in Mexico, specializes in labor issues and earned the Outstanding Teaching Award at the University of California, San Diego in 1991.
The protesters, with their entitled and ignorant mindset, claimed Shaiken was unfit to teach a class on labor issues in America and Mexico because he is a white male who should check his privilege.
One student, who was annoyed at the protest, jokingly asked if “this is a filibuster.”
“Are you trying to silence us right now? Is that what you’re trying to do?” said one protester without any self-awareness. The student responded by stating he was just “trying to take my test.”
“This is our mental health. This is our physical health. This is…um,” claimed another protester before turning to her ‘comrade’ for help.

Previously known as Peter Laing, he was imprisoned for a minimum of 18 years in 2013 for playing a part in the brutal murder of Robert Shankland, 46, in Fife, Scotland.
However, Green, 23, was housed on a female wing in HMP Edinburgh after claiming to want to live as a woman and go through a sex change operation.
Transgender women will be allowed to enroll in one of the three female-only colleges at Cambridge University, the school has said. The decision, made by the college council last week and announced on Monday, means that transgender women can apply to Murray Edwards College for a place in the term that begins next October, said a spokeswoman, Clare Stroud.
The college president, Barbara Stocking, said in a statement that, “We are a college that is open to all outstanding young women, and so it is absolutely right, both legally and within our set of values, for anyone who identifies as female to be able to apply to study with us.”

Some people are offended by free speech.
---- sex in public equates to free speech? Maybe to him but it would still be a misdemeanor at least in Washington.RCW 9A.88.010
Indecent exposure.
(1) A person is guilty of indecent exposure if he or she intentionally makes any open and obscene exposure of his or her person or the person of another knowing that such conduct is likely to cause reasonable affront or alarm. The act of breastfeeding or expressing breast milk is not indecent exposure.
(2)(a) Except as provided in (b) and (c) of this subsection, indecent exposure is a misdemeanor.
(b) Indecent exposure is a gross misdemeanor on the first offense if the person exposes himself or herself to a person under the age of fourteen years.
(c) Indecent exposure is a class C felony if the person has previously been convicted under this section or of a sex offense as defined in RCW 9.94A.030.
Edit: and I have no problem with him kicking the Jesus freaks out of his coffee shop. Personally I wouldn't want to be anywhere I am not wanted but that's just me.

I see little difference between the gay business owner kicking them out and the christian baker refusing to sell a wedding cake to a gay couple. I mean isn't this exactly what the conservatives want? The right, on moral grounds, for the business owner to chose who to serve.
Probably someday we'll have signs on the door of the businesses. Oh, wait, that was April 1, 1933 Germany. We'll teach you to boycott our stuff...
It's what happens when governments try to legislate morality [religions]. IMO
