Women's suffrage. Need to get rid of that.

Anybody ever correlate the date of Women's Suffrage to the National Debt?

Just goes to show that everybody has an opinion, and random opinions are mostly worthless.

On a different note it appears that the guy is wearing a "Game OF Thrones" T-shirt so he can't be a total village idiot unless he answers to Hodor.

I've watched a few Ren & Stimpy episodes since I'm older now........wow. Amazing how much the show changes when you get all the references you didn't as a kid.

Regarding statues and stuff...........I honestly don't care. Rename buildings, whatever. What real impact does that have on anyone's life? And what's the obsession with wanting to "pay tribute" to a bunch of treasonous losers anyway?

Hell, you see plenty of that "The south will rise again" type **** here in Oklahoma, even though we weren't even a state until 60 years after the end of the civil war.

Haters are going to find things to hate about others.
It keeps them from having to delve too deeply into themselves.

I can find things to dislike about somebody who has to add name pronunciation in parentheses (TAH-kah-mee)
other than his/her dislike of American history and traditions and the slang spelling of "prolly".
It beats having to look at myself as an old chubby short sexist racist homophobic male.

Is "the state" equal to "the people" in this context, or are you referring to some other concept?

I didn't realize you were that far down the revisionist history hole as the far left is and the claim the constitution is a living document.

The Constitution contains both instructions for establishing a Supreme Court to interpret it, as well as a procedure for amending it.

The founders intended for it to be a "living document," as you put it.

I'm speaking of the people on the left that say things like, "The 2nd Amendment shouldn't apply anymore because they only had muskets. Not semi-auto rifles or shotguns."

I'm referring to the reason for the Civil War. Also remember it was Lincoln who abandoned the Constitution...
