I think we can all agree that it's no longer OK to make fun of things. Because you might offend someone. And offending people is no different from raping them and then stabbing them to death, insomuch as both are forms of assault.
I dunno'. The way those characters were drawn and then identified with academic pursuits. Whole lotta' assumptions goin' on! I'm feeling mildly offended. Is that like murder?
Why is it that men who want to be women tend to go way overboard and ultimately wind up as a parody of feminine (makeup, hair, clothing, etc), wheres those people who are actually women, and are really the best at being attractive women, do not? (It's a scientifically proven fact that "boyish" is more attractive than "***** makeup.")
(The dog on the right is a methaphor for Braineack's frustration with other people being allowed to not conform to his idea of how things ought to be.)
I do appreciate that the physicist with the Saiyan haircut has a shirt that says "This shirt is approximately pants".
Today, I learned that "Saiyan" is not a typo, but rather a cartoon guy with pokey hair.
Randall Munroe gives a wonderful description of estimation, in the context of calculating what a mole of moles would look like:
First, let’s start with wild ballpark approximations. This is an example of what might go through my head before I even pick up a calculator, when I’m just trying to get a sense of the quantities - the kind of calculation where 10, 1, and 0.1 are all close enough that we can consider them equal:
I can pick up a mole (animal) and throw it. Anything I can throw weighs one pound. One pound is one kilogram. The number 602,214,129,000,000,000,000,000 looks about twice as long as a trillion, which means it’s about a trillion trillion. I happen to remember that a trillion trillion kilograms is how much a planet weighs.
… if anyone asks, I did not tell you it was ok to do math like this.
He has also determined that the phone number for the switchboard at the White House can be expressed as

Nothing screams, "this is me," like putting on wigs, makeup, and being a complete caricature of someone/thing else.

Ah, very clever. You are saying that something is actually the opposite of what it is, which is an amusing way to criticize that thing.
On a more serious note, wanna really be disgusted? Go to Google and type "transgender child." No, you won't get any ****. Instead, you'll get lots of "heartwarming" stories written by parents who "supported and affirmed" their toddlers' decisions to dress / act like they are of the opposite gender.
And you'll come across articles written by parents who were reported to city / county child-welfare agencies by school administrators for claiming that their children were actually the gender that they were. Or, less dramatically, having to constantly remind people that just because their daughter dresses like a bit of a tomboy does not change the fact that she in, in fact, female.
It's funny how they went from decrying the mutilation of female genitalia in Egypt to encouraging it in our own country in the course of one generation. And not funny "Haha", either.
^ Not gonna lie, he's kinda cute. A tad young, granted, but if I were ever to tip over the edge and indulge a homo-curious fantasy, that's the sorta thing that'd trigger it.
