in CA, you are not allowed to speak poorly about communism:
Weird how history works ... the vast majority of the members of the Un-American Activities Committee were Democrats.

Members, I recognize today in memory of the million of Vietnamese and the hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese refugees who died seeking freedom and democracy. I recognize that on Tuesday you had an opportunity to honor Senator Tom Hayden. With all due respect, I would like to offer another historical perspective.
“On Tuesday, instead of participating, I chose to step out of the chamber out of respect to his family, his friends and to you. In contrast to your comments on Tuesday, I want to share what Senator Hayden meant to me and to the over 500,000 Vietnamese Americans who call California their home, as well as to the over 1 million Vietnamese Americans across the United States.
Mr. Hayden sided with a communist government that enslaved and/or killed millions of Vietnamese, including members of my own family. Mr. Hayden’s actions are viewed by many as harmful to democratic values and hateful towards those who sought the very freedoms on which this nation is founded.

freedom of the press:
So two top officials at the FBI (Director James Comey and Assistant Director Andrew McCabe) called the New York Times report that claimed the FBI was investigating four Trump campaign officials for being in "constant contact" with Russian intel officials "BULLSHIT", and we're supposed to be more concerned about a handful of liberal outlets being butthurt because they were excluded from a press gaggle today? Some of the same outlets that put out the "BULLSHIT" report in the first place?

Some of these should exist, but not at the Federal Level. Like, Gargage Collection, though see (9) below.
Things definitely not needed:
2) Toll Roads.... Pay to Play
3) Carnegie built loads of them in NYC
6) Obsolete
7) Loans and Grants have inflated tuition and blossomed the administration
8) See 2
9) I take my garbage to the landfill. Others in our area contract haulers.
11) War was an interesting argument for socialism.
12) Yes, let's run up the cost of everything. Sugar tariff anyone?
15) Dump that special privilege along with pensions
18) SS is a huge mechanism to fund retirements of middle and upper class on the taxes paid by the lower income classes.
20) School Choice and Vouchers. No Federal meddling
21) MOAR capital punishment
22) Yeah, that is always a way to a free market
26) Can we say abuse?
32) Hoover dam was built to make work and send water to California. Electricity production was an afterthought.
33) I thought zoos were on the left's condemned list. (you know, like war)
36) is redundant, as are 43 and 62
56) Amtrak.... now there is a poster boy. Give me an airplane any day, even with the socialist air traffic control and TSA
57) Census... Enabler of many of the other stupid programs
But yes, your point is made.... we already have way too much of that socialism stuff.
EDIT: But you were really joking, right?

Would you consider most employers to be lower income classes?
I know because I am an employer and while my employees pay 7.62% of their salaries to pay for SS and Medicare, I pay the other 7.62%. Oh and guess what I pay on my salary? That's right, 15.24%. Personally, I don't consider myself lower income.

Imagine if your Bank ran like SS. Where every $1 you put into a saving account, only netted you 70 cents on the dollar when you were allowed to finally make a withdraw.
