Campaign fraud in this day and age? Color me shocked.

The 57-page indictment in Manhattan federal court accuses Adams of criminal conduct related to contributions to the Democrat’s 2021 mayoral campaign, and other conduct going back as far as 2014, when he was Brooklyn borough president.
Much of the indictment centers on the Turkish community and Turkish businessmen who allegedly exerted influence on Adams, and the criminal counts alleged include conspiracy to commit bribery, bribery, wire fraud and contributions by a foreign national.
The indictment says Adams, a 64-year-old former police captain, received more than $10 million in public matching funds for campaign contributions by using so-called straw donors in the United States to hide the fact that he was accepting foreign campaign contributions.
Starting in 2014, and “Thereafter, for nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits, such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businesspeople and at least one Turkish govermnent official seeking to gain influence over him,” the indictment says.

It aint much better for 50 year olds either. I'm married so I don't have to worry about dating and meeting new women but the thought of doing so just makes me cringe. Too many women fall for the victim these "scholars" and "public servants" say they are, and don't even realize the irony and hypocrisy in what they are being told. My sister is a liberal nut job. So is my neighbor. And last I remember, my ex-wife was too. These are all intelligent women yet they are so easily manipulated.
My wife was liberal, just not a nut job, but she slowly realized that policies promised to make your life better aren't ever as promised and that it's up to the individual to make their life better. Which is really the most ironic part of being a liberal today. No more individual freedom and no more being a maverick. It's all in on what the machine says needs to happen so that everyone is "equal" but what is really going to happen is that everyone is the "same".
Which brings me to the best bumper sticker I have seen in a while. It wasn't this one but you get the point.
