It's very frustrating for me to see nonsense about the assassination day after day. This is not the scoop on the USSS. The real deal is this: about 80 seconds before the shooting started, Hercules 1, the sniper team on the southern barn, turned themselves and their weapons north. We don't know why, but snipers would only do that if they think they might have to shoot in that direction. Most people think that they turned because Hercules 2, the team on the northern barn, asked them for help because their view of the critical roof was partially occluded by a tree.

They would have radioed that they were turning. At that point, the first order out of the USSS commander should have been to take Trump off the stage. That's the real scoop -- whoever was on the other side of the radio from Hercules was trying to leave Trump in a death trap.

Edit with more information: we know from bodycam video released by Butler PD that the sniper in Hercules 1 who most likely took the shot that killed Crooks is named D. King. All we have to do is ask him two questions: 1.) Why did you turn north? 2.) Did you communicate that to command?

...The reliably liberal New York Times was among the first to suddenly change tack on Friday, taking aim at what many perceive to be Harris's fatal lack of clear policy with a brutal headline that read: 'Joy Is Not a Strategy'.

In a sour commentary, NYT Deputy Opinion Editor Patrick Healy said he'd 'cringed' when former president Bill Clinton took the convention stage on Tuesday to claim that Harris would be 'the president of joy'.

How's that going to help the millions of Americans whose livelihoods are now at stake, Healey asked? And why has Harris failed to conduct a single interview or serious press conference since Biden stepped aside last month?

'Ultimately, she needs more voters in the swing states to trust her to handle the economy better than her opponent... Harris can't coast on "joy",' he concluded witheringly.

But worse was to come from the Times.

On Monday, the newspaper published a guest essay titled 'Trump can win on character', by conservative commentator Rich Lowry.

Pulling no punches, Lowry wrote that Harris is 'weak and a phony and doesn't truly care about the country or the middle class.'

In all seriousness, though, I'm thinking back to Cordy's recent post, which illustrates how media outlets said negative things about Trump in 2017.

Now, as painful as it may be, I think it needs to be acknowledged that, by conventional standards for national leaders, Trump comes off as arrogant, boorish, and uncultured. He has terrible taste in wives, food, and tanning products. And he doesn't sound "presidential."

I'm not judging whether those are good or bad things. A lot of people find him to be endearing for the very reason that he looks and sounds different from most presidential types.

I'm simply making the point that when you act and talk like a clownish bully, it's not unreasonable for newspapers to print that you are a clownish bully.

Sometimes, those of us in the business world were able to get beyond the fact that an employee or coworker was an a-hole because he got the job done better than most of the “great guys.”

When I was hired at my last job, I was told that I wouldn’t be an official employee until the boss “calls you a c***sucker in a meeting full of people.” That never happened, alas. People asked how I could work for him, but he was a good guy when he wasn’t pissed at you - in 25 years we took the company from $350 million in annual sales to $2.7 billion, and when he passed, all of us old timers could retire early comfortably because he gave us an equity stake.
In retrospect, by most current standards we were all a bunch of a-holes, but we got stuff done.

That sort of explains my take on Trump. Bring on the bad taste and mean tweets, just slow down the slide into oblivion.

I guess we could always settle for a super smooth career politician like newsom.

FWIW newsom should go down in the history books as the worst politician in the history of the country.

From Joe--Trump comes off as arrogant, boorish, and uncultured. He has terrible taste in wives, food, and tanning products. And he doesn't sound "presidential."

Half a parentheses used, so I can't figure out if you're posting someone else's words, or these are your views. Or both. Shockingly, I couldn't disagree more. Regardless, propaganda by omission is also a specialty of the MSM, except they no longer have a corner on access to viewers....and they've been pissed ever since.

I'd say that the current favorite of the MSM is the "journo-list", Goebbels-style of journalism. Get together secretly (journo-list), agree on the narrative and use the same words, over and over. A lie told enough times becomes the truth.

For example, remember during the Democrat convention when everything Republican was "weird?"

A lot of people don't see him as arrogant or boorish. I just read how, years ago, the New York veteran's day parade was bankrupt. Trump donated $200k, and rallied for another $300k in order to keep it going. I don't think that's boorish. And if he said he did a great job saving the parade (don't know if he did or not), then that's just plain truth.

Abbey Gate 13
.
I have been working on a project for the last six months with the Abbey Gate Foundation that will be presented on their behalf in the next few weeks.
.
Because of that, yesterday I had the honor to attend the wreath laying ceremony remembering the 13 soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice serving their country during the collapse of Afghanistan and the bombing at Abbey gate three years ago.
.
During the ceremony I got to witness something that I’ll be quite honest, was pretty unbelievable to see in person. No matter who the politician, there always seems to be an angle when they do things to make it beneficial.
.
Yesterday that was not the case.
.
I have witnessed over 75 wreath laying ceremonies performed by politicians and conducted 524 funerals in this cemetery during the time I served in the Presidential Honor Guard for three years.
.
What I got the witness yesterday was the most respectful and solemn ceremony I have seen.
.
https://www.instagram.com/realdonaldtrump/ , https://www.instagram.com/tulsigabbard/ , and the rest of the team that came to pay their respects did that tenfold.
.
There were no speeches, no angles, no weird photo ops just our elected officials and the 45th President respectfully and solemnly honoring the fallen and their families.
.
I watched President Trump spend more time at the graves with the families then I have ever seen a political representative do before. No rushing, no handlers trying to move it on, just him truly showing gratitude and love to these families for their loss.
.
No matter what the party, this is what I look for in my elected officials. Americans ready to serve and support Americans.
.
God bless this country and those who fight for it and for those no longer with us… you will never be forgotten🇺🇸

Don't forget this one! No music...just a planned photo-op for CNN. And as long as we're discussing traditions, is it tradition to let your husband go to Pedo Island when he's bored, or keep a side bitch that the secret service nicknamed the "energizer bunny?"

Sheesh, whatever happened to "love is love". Why you such a hater Joe?!

Here's a link to the FBI's latest update:

https://www.fbi.gov/news/speeches/fb...-investigation

In that update, the FBI says "it is not the FBI's role to investigate the actions ... of the Secret Service or local law enforcement". This means the FBI is incapable of investigating this case, because the two strongest leads by far are 1.) the Secret Service and 2.) the two local ESU members in the building next to the one Crooks shot from. Let's go over both of them.

First, the Secret Service. About 80 seconds before the shooting started, Hercules 1, the Secret Service counter-sniper team on the southern barn tasked with guarding to the south, turned themselves and their rifles north. We don't know exactly why they did that, but the leading hypothesis is that Hercules 2, the counter-sniper team on the northern barn, asked them to help because their view of the roof Crooks shot from was partially occluded by a tree.

Hercules 1 presumably radioed to command that they were turning to deal with a threat, and at that time, Secret Service command should have ordered Trump be taken off the stage. That didn't happen, so whoever was talking to the Hercules teams via radio has a lot to answer for. They are the #1 person of interest who needs to be interviewed. D. King, the Secret Service counter-sniper thought to have taken the shot that killed Crooks, should also be interviewed, although he is not suspected to have done anything wrong.

So, the strongest lead is the Secret Service. Now let's discuss the second strongest lead, the local ESU members.

Originally there were three local ESU in the building just to the northwest of the one Crooks shot from. One was Jason Woods, who had prearranged to leave at 4pm, and who appears to have left about 4:25pm. That left one Beaver County ESU, Greg Nicol, and one Butler County ESU whose identity was initially secret, but is now known to be Mike Murcko. Nicol is known to have left his post shortly after Trump took the stage. The reasons for this are unclear. But Murcko is thought to have remained at his post.

The DA of Butler County, Richard Goldinger, has disputed that Nicol "left his post", because he says the post was the entire building. Fine, I don't want to quibble about that. What is clear is that Nicol is thought to have left his station by the window.

Let's suppose Nicol left his station by the window, and Murcko remained. If Murcko is keeping watch out of the southern window, he will see Crooks crawling across the roof. If he is keeping watch out of the western window, he will see people in the crowd yelling and pointing at the roof of the building beside him. If he is not looking out either window, he will hear a rifle being fired approximately 70' away from him, and he will rush to the window and shoot Crooks with his sidearm. But none of that happened. It has never been reported by anyone that Murcko reacted in any way to Crooks shooting. Dashcam video shows Nicol emerging from the AGR building almost two minutes after the shooting with his pistol drawn, seemingly unaware that Crooks is already dead. Where were those guys, and what were they doing?

So the second strongest lead is the local ESU, Nicol and Murcko. Their actions and inactions are not well-explained at all, and the press has reported stuff about them that doesn't match what we can see in videos released to the public by Butler PD.

To recap, by far the two strongest leads in the Trump assassination case are the Secret Service and the local ESU members, and the FBI has said it will not investigate either one of them. The FBI is refusing to investigate properly while blocking all other law enforcement from doing so. This case would be solved if we would simply interview the persons of interest, but the FBI is actively preventing that from happening.

Trump comes off as arrogant, boorish, and uncultured. He has terrible taste in wives, food, and tanning products. And he doesn't sound "presidential."
I agree.

Both candidates are also not very bright.

Trump's fiscal policies are less detrimental to the country, its employers, and its people. He's a greater supporter of personal liberty, from what I can tell. He's not part of a party "machine." He stated in the Shawn Ryan Show interview that he made mistakes in his last administration by hiring Washington insiders who were recommended for various positions. That fills me with hope because I hate big government and Washington insiders.

I am puzzled that anyone not receiving direct funding from Washington would support Washington as it is.

I am puzzled that anyone would vote for less personal freedom.

I'm puzzled that anyone actually paying taxes would vote for higher taxes.

I believe someone should do here what Millei is doing in Argentina.

Have a look at the platform positions of Chase Oliver, the 2024 Libertarian nominee.

Now, I'm going to admit that, while in years past I have tended to vote my conscience, I'm a realist who knows that this is not the year when a 3rd party candidate is going to make a difference. Everyone is far too polarized, and actual issues are not relevant.

So I'm gonna vote Trump. I'm not happy about it, and I can name at least a dozen other people who I'd rather see in the White House, but for the first time in my adult life, I'm actually going to join the herd and vote *against* the candidate whom I feel poses the greater threat of harm to our economy, our liberty, and our security than the other.

Me the thing also.

Libertarians stand for people marrying who they want to marry, owning their own bodies, and being allowed to make decisions regarding their own bodies. That includes being able to buy medications they need without a doctor's permission slip, which is the way they do it in the rest of the world.

I think they should legalize all of the illegal drugs like they have done in several other First World countries. I don't own you. I'm not your daddy or Guardian. And the collective "we" of government are not your parents either.
