Yes.

Although I simplified the content of your post, that quotation does in fact lead back to post # 31085 in this thread, in which you linked to a tweet about that situation.

As someone who has previously done contract work for Disney*, I am fully aware that they have one of the largest and most innovative legal department in the world.

For instance, when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ attempted to strip the company of its self-governance power as punishment for them acknowledging that gay people exist, they concocted a brilliant legal sucker-punch which not only enshrined Disney's central Florida fiefdom (the Reedy Creek Improvement District) in black-letter law, but they did so in such a hilariously creative manner which, among other things, invokes the King of England by name, as, in order to skirt around the Rule Against Perpetuities (a legal doctrine which says that no contract can last forever.)

It states: "
This declaration shall continue in effect until 21 years after the death of the last survivor of the descendants of King Charles III, King of England, living as of the date of this declaration.”

And, if you are a legal nerd, that is hilarious beyond description. I nearly asphyxiated from laughter when I was first reading that case. Do not **** with Disney in the courts.

Princess Lilibet of Sussex, you have a lot of weight resting on your American-born shoulders.

* = I was given a WED Imagineering pin by the chief of Disney Cruise Lines' technology dept. This is the real one, not the gift-shop version.

It's amusing to me that there exists a long-standing and genuinely bitter schism between the Imagineers at Disney who come up with all of the crazy designs, and the actual Engineers who have to figure out how to make that **** actually work in the real world.

Also, the character in that photo is actually Shadow the Hedgehog, a spinoff from the Sonic franchise. Mickey's face has been photoshopped onto it.

Brings new meaning to the term "horseplay"

The band Joy Division ran into the same controversy.

This guy's company collects phone meta data and can geolocate phones. He can also tell you if the phone number in question was at an antifa rally, J6, at a polling drop-off...almost anywhere. The government has access to the same data. The movie "10,000 Mules" used the same method.

The issue is that they all lie. Politician = liar.

Watching the DNC, lots of lying.

I don't know about a Russian Agent, but have heard rumors that she does like the vodka. Maybe a bit too much. It does explain a lot. Was that the meme and my Aspergers has prevented me from seeing the joke?

That's pretty much the joke. It combines Kamala's apparent difficulty forming coherent sentences with all of the "Russian Interference" talk which has been going on in recent years.

Thing is, though, the people seem to be lapping it up. Biden got a 5 minute standing ovation when he spoke. Kamala seems to be gaining in popular support despite being an actual terrible person. Her record as a DA would have made her a war criminal if the citizens of San Francisco were protected by the Geneva Conventions within their own country during peacetime.

But this election isn't about facts, it's about feelings. The only issue which seems to matter with the far-left is "not Trump," and a young brown woman is about as not-Trump as you can get.

I honestly think they may win this one legitimately. Granted, what we're seeing on TV is not a representative sample of all voters. It's the hardest of the hard-core, who managed to get into the DNC. And this is genuinely more of a pep-rally than a legitimate political forum. (Same goes for RNC.)

Gonna be a bumpy ride to January from this point.

I agree and several people have said the same to me in the past few weeks. The question is what are people's feelings mostly about or effected by? I believe the economy for some is worse than we know. I went through the phase of spending on credit when I was in my 20's. Now if I can't pay for it with cash, I don't buy it. There are many that got too far into debt and then the interest rates went up. Most credit is revolving and was affected.

I believe people will vote with their wallet first, then religious beliefs, womans rights/abortion and then other things like the border. Economy Trumps all. If I had to bet, I would put my money on DJT at this point. The media can only do so much, and many are experiencing media burnout.

I don't completely agree.

Maybe it's just because I live in a majority-socialist city, and work in an industry fourth only to Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and the University system in wokeness, but I think a lot more people are voting their heart than their wallet this time around.

2020 was a no-brainer. The economy was in the *******, and Trump's administration genuinely was the one that started allowing the lockdowns and the money-printing and the stimulus payments and the forced vaccinations. I'm not saying that Orange Man Bad, but that's just an objectively true fact. It was unprecedented times.

Biden inherited that setup and ran with it, but at the time, nobody remembered the three years of peace and prosperity which had preceded Covid-19.

We're in a conceptually similar situation now. The economy and the markets have recovered and then some, the major indices are all at record highs (I've made an extra $80k in unrealized capital gains since 2020 just on a single trade I executed on a whim), and first-time jobless claims are near a record low.

It's hard to be 100% certain, as different formulas produce different results for just how much less my money is worth than it was 5 years ago, but overall, we are more or less back to where we were five years ago before all of this **** started, with the obvious exception of the fact that we're closer to WW III than we have been since October 1962.

And the far-left believe that we have Biden and Harris to thank for that, both of whom have performed the heroic miracle of not being Trump.

If anyone here ever questions how much I, a known liberal shill, holds the entire Chicago political organization in contempt, I would encourage you to view this video, which was part of the WGN 75th anniversary series.

Specifically, skip ahead to 8:35 and then watch the next 40 seconds.

I had no idea that the news dept was going to make this a part of their retrospective. I designed and fabricated that box myself. I assumed that it would just remain an inside joke. Like, "Yes, all of the candidates this year are clowns" between the dozen or so producers and directors who would ever see it.

But no.

I post this merely as nerd-cred.

I know that some folks here think that I'm a liberal shill. I want them to know that I risked my career to make a clown's nose equivalent to democrat mayor candidates in Chicago going over-time in a debate.
