these people do eventually get audited. they pay shady *** tax preparers to help them get rebates...they work on commission so they do whatever they can to increase the rebate. A lot get more back in taxes than they made in a year. A lot of these illegals have no clue, and then cry when they get audited. but most abuse and dont care because they are illegal anyways.

That was in Florida. It cost the state more to test people on welfare then they brought in by it. An amazing small amount of people got caught. Something like less then 5% failed. The arguments against it is that it is a major waste of tax payers dollars.

It is an election issue (kinda) now. CNN article is using Rubio's proposal to make filing for the credit harder to call him a hypocrit b/c he's going to "greatly harm innocent children." Clearly, the author hasn't seen the fraud that is going on.

no one clicked my link i assume:
the senate will not take up the measure to fix the problem; it has already passed in the house.
I can't believe you guys want to take away all this money to illegals, you heartless republicans.
WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee, issued the following statement today after he joined Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) on the Senate floor to ask unanimous consent to adopt legislation (S.577) that would close a loophole allowing the IRS to send billions of dollars in tax credits to illegal aliens. This reform has been encouraged by the Treasury’s Inspector General for Tax Administration and has passed the House. Majority Leader Reid objected to the unanimous consent request.
