Wanted 1990-1997
ok, im hoping this is what im supposed to do, really don't want to get yelled at
Im looking for a miata 1990-1997 dosen't mater what engine it has!
Would like it to be appropriate for modding...as in not over 150k miles or so...i don't know if that to much so if some one can correct me if im wrong...this will be my first miata so i would like it to be in decent condition! body damage is ok but structurally i would like it to be sound! and if the engine has major problems i don't think that would work for now :(
Hope this is enuff info if i should add anything please let me no!
My maximum price is 3k, but if it can be under that i would relly like it b/c thats ALL the money i have right now and need to pay for license and insurance...they require i pay all 6moths of it upfront :(
I live in Omaha...

But I am way away from you.
But if it is too far to drive.
Let me give you some buying tips. NEVER TEL ANYONE HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE.
You loose leverage with your buy. They don't have you by, you want my car.
They have the car forsale cause they for some reason want to sell it.
So show up, drive the car check the oil. When you start the car, look at the exhaust. Make sure it doesn't smoke.
Get a feel for the guy. Then say sir or mam, I know you may not take it. But can I offer you what I have with out making you mad.
You should have a feel of how much you can LOW BALL THEM. I usually offer to people really ready to sell 700-1000 under what they are asking. Then they will give you a price. Feel it, out and try to save ground. Or meet them in the middle.
But I am good.
If you **** them off, they may not sell it to you for what you want. If you have $3000. you should be looking at $3700 cars. Unless you find a good deal on something cheaper.
Also if you need to pay insurance and ttl out of the $3000. Figure all that out, and take it out of the amount you have.
Foreal though I think my brother may want to sell his roomates car. It is clean.

LOL, you can always say, well i may have that much, but that doesn't mean i'm going to give it away.
LOL. My brother is one of those type guys that want what they want. He might would move a little, but not alot.
You can't always get someone down alot, but it is worth a try. I'll call him tommorrow and see what he says.
If he wants to sell it, I'll send you some pictures.
It is red with a black top and black interior. I think I have pictures on this forum????

I'll try to get better pictures, this was when we has 2 rims off to get painted, and were cleaning the car inside and out. His roomate loves this car. The cheezy wind breaker wont be going with the car. I wouldn't want it anyway.LOL This car was owned by a old man. And his roomate has seemed to turn into one, with wanting to keep it on his car. LoL

I have to assume the used Miata market is around 2-3 cars per year where you live. It's quite likely you'll wait forever for a local deal to pop up... and you don't want to skimp. There are GREAT examples of used Miata's in your pricerange... just not in your area. I'm not sure how to overcome that. You can probably look as far away as about 4hours or so... which gets you Kansas City, Des Moines, Souix Falls... lots more cars to browse.
