Tramp the 1999 LFX Miata Endurance Race car for sale
“Tramp” is a championship winning car from the Shakydog stable. Tramp won the WRL overall points championship in 2019 along with placing 1st in class and 5th overall at the 24@5280. Overall this is a very solid and well-built endurance car. In 2020, Tramp was converted to LFX power and also received upgrades in braking, fuel cell and differential. That process is chronicled here in a series of videos;
We raced Tramp in the WRL race at Ozark last fall in GP1. We finished 1st in class and 4th overall on Sunday. (Was on the way to a podium on Saturday but ran out of gas on the last lap.) So I can tell you that at this very fast track, the car will run exactly 1 hour and 33 minutes at full race pace (2:29’s) and not a minute more. At Hallet will run 1:23’s on RS-4’s Weighs 2360 empty
3.6l LFX engine with several tunes available through HPTuners. 200-270 whp
Shakydog trapdoor oil pan baffle-No oil starve so no motor blowing up problems.
Kiesler heater core by-pass, idler pulley, engine wiring harness and E39 ECM
V8 Roadsters tubular front subframe

Side exhaust-sounds wicked when the baffle is removed

Redhead Dry Break 2.25” fueling receptacle in driver side rear window, 1” vent line with discriminator valve and -10AN vent line to overflow container. This setup allows the dumping of 6 gallons in approx. 9 seconds.
