The original FFS supercharged Miata
For sale is a FFS supercharged Miata with 100,xxx miles. This is THE car that Tom, the owner of Fast Forward Superchargers, bought brand new in 2005 and used for CARB certs and testing. I don't necessarily think that adds much if any value, but I think that's a fun factoid. I did offer the car back to Tom for nostalgia's sake, and he deliberated but ultimately decided his fleet is big enough and couldn't add another despite the sentimental value.
Pros:
Brand new top
Brand new tires (205/45/16's)
New fuel pump
New fuel tank (previous owner found some rust in the tank and replaced the whole thing)
New fuel filter
New fluids all around
AC blows ice cold
Hard Dog Roll Bar
Cons:
-Clear coat fade on the hood
-Minor dings and scratches
-One dent on the bottom left of the front bumper (not visible looking straight at the car but if you get down below it you can see it)
-small hole on each seat.
Despite being the car used for making the FFS kit CARB legal, this car is not CARB legal... the FFS kit was certified for 1990-2003 and this car is a 2005... I know. For most states in our nation, CARB means nothing anyway. Those of us in CA, it means a lot.
The car has a clean AZ title.
It's fun, quick, and does all the Miata things well.
$8200 seems like a fair price. DM me if interested.

If you’ve got a 97 it might be a viable option to swap the SC onto the 97 and make that CARB legal. The only difference I’m aware of is the adapter flange from SC to the head as the ports are different on NA8 and NB heads. I would imagine that is still a part Tom has that he would sell separately. Tom is indeed shutting down but his renown customer service has not yet and he has said he’ll continue to offer some parts. I’m sure he’d be happy to answer that question if it’s something you’d want to consider.

yeah, the intake manifold is different between vvt and non vvt. And that’s where Tom had challenges - getting intake castings made. So I’ve been looking for an intake manifold or an installed kit I could pull from. A 96 with early FFS actually popped up on CL, but I didn’t respond fast enough.

good meeting you at MiataReunion. Tried to send a private message but I guess you haven’t been active enough on the forum for it to allow it.
let me know if you want to work something out. I think we could.
