There actually was a local SE (mohagony mica) in the Baltimore area about a year ago for $4K with a bad motor. I snoozed on it and lost though. Pics and all looked good and the number seemed legit when I called the guy.

Perhaps I'm lucky but I found my 99 for all of $900 with a blown engine. Hopefully the bastard will be up and running this weekend.

The stars were aligned that day. I just happened to take a day off from work, and then happened to look on Craigslist 5 min after it was posted, and then the guy I bought it from happened to be an idiot that didn't take care of his things.
The best part is that I finally got it running yesterday so next up is cleaning and then booooost!

Wow I wish I could find a deal like that. Or an NB for under 5k. I want a 1.8 so I'm looking at 94-95s, and they all seem to be 4k-6k, with some needing work at 3k. Where do you see NBs going for 5k? Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places...also is an NB a better car than an NA?
