FS: WCM Ultralite S2K Lotus Super Seven for sale (IL)
*sold*
Minty Fresh World Class Motorsports Ultralite Lotus Super Seven S2K with only 5913 miles, finished in December 2014 by Backdraft Racing Backdraft Racing - Custom Cobra Kit Car Manufacturers | Backdraft Racing.
Pics hosted on facebook.
Powered by a low mileage Honda S2000 F20 drivetrain, AEM Standalone ECU, 208 rwhp on the chassis dyno, six speed gearbox, Subaru WRX LSD with a 4.44 gear, and independent rear suspension (ALL other Seven's have a solid rear axle!).
Weighs approximately 1,200 lbs. with the custom OZ 17" wheels.
600lbs/in and 500lbs/in coilovers with revalved QA1 shocks.
Street legal and registered as a 1967 Lotus. It's a real car with running lights, fusebox, turn indicators, low/high beams, cooling fan, gps speedo, Backdraft wiring harness, and relays (no rats nest of wiring).
Anodized aluminum panels look gorgeous in person and in the photos. Very nicely upholstered, with many thoughtful extra touches. Over $45k invested. $30k and it's yours. I would consider some trades, but I'm picky... Located NW of Chicago.
I took it out for one Instructor session at Gingerman for a total of <10 laps last summer. With some safety updates it could be an interesting track car.
Located in East Dundee, IL. Please send a note to loudes13 at yahoo.

Caterham’s and others use an European Escort solid rear axle. Most lowcosts use a GM rear axle.
A solid rear end isn’t horrible, just compromised on a bumpy road. No big deal though.
Still open to interesting trades, but I own 4 miatas. Special deal if I include this with my Miata racecar also.
