FS: Track Ready 1995 R Miata (SoCal)
#1
***SOLD*** Track Ready 1995 R Miata (SoCal)
****SOLD****
For Sale:
My 1995 budget turbo track rat
Location:
Southern California (Ventura County)
Asking Price:
$4600 w/ Turbo Kit
$3600 w/o Turbo Kit
Description:
This car served me well for three fun-filled track seasons. It fulfilled all of my goals on a very tight budget. The car is cheap, reliable and fast. I am selling it because my son is growing up quickly, and I want to devote my free time to the family.
The car already has pretty much everything you could want in a track-ready Miata: Rollbar, six-point harness, adjustable suspension, etc… Plus, some desirable mods: ‘99 cylinder head, BEGi coolant re-route, etc... See the build list below for a complete list. This is an excellent value when compared to the cost of assembling these parts on your own. The paint needs some attention, but otherwise, the car is in good shape.
The turbo kit is currently removed from the car due to the very strict smog enforcement in my area. I'm sure the car would pass the sniff test, but I can’t find anyone in my area to sign off on the visual. So, if you would like the turbo, you can purchase it with the car and install it yourself. The car just passed the biannual smog test, so if it sells in the next 60 days, it won't need to be repeated for the sale.
Build list:
1995 Miata R Package
Black on Black
154,000mi on chassis
Interior:
-Sparco Sprint seat (matching passenger seat uninstalled)
-Momo steering wheel on NRG 2.5 Quick Release
-Moss short shifter and custom Delrin shift ****
-Sabelt 6 point harness
-Hard Dog roll bar (SCCA Legal)
-Mazda Hard Top (mariner blue) with Rennen mounts
Exterior:
-R rear spoiler
-Racing Beat skirts
-Viz (Wizdom) front bumper (also identical brand new bumper uninstalled)
-Rennen tow point
-Newer soft top with glass window
Suspension:
-Tein HA coilovers
-Racing Beat 1.125-inch tubular front sway bar w/ brace kit
-Racing Beat 5/8" (16mm) rear sway bar
-Rear NB tophats
-SuperMiata (949 Racing) adjustable endlinks
-Goodridge braided stainless brake lines
-ISC Racing front offset control arm bushings to get lots of camber (currently running -3° at 4” ride height)
-Carbotech pads
-Two sets of wheels: Konig Heliums in silver with Falkens for street (old), Team Dynamics track wheels currently mounted with BFGoodrich G-Force Rivals
Mechanical:
-‘99 Head w/ RPM switch to activate the VICS solenoid
-FM Happy Meal clutch and lightened flywheel
-Enthuza 2.5” exhaust
-Walbro 225 fuel pump
-new aluminum radiator and fans (with dual fan mod)
-Coolant Re-route (BEGi)
Turbo (Currently not installed):
-Garrett Ball bearing 2650
-Flyin’ Miata Manifold w/ Inconel studs and Stage 8 locking nuts
-Stainless DP
-Custom FMIC
-Flyin’ Miata Link fuel management (runs on MAP)
-RC 550 injectors
-FM boost gauge in steel pod
-AEM wideband with gauge
I'm sure I'm missing some bits here and there. The car comes with extras including a brand new unpainted bumper/nose and Sparco passenger seat.
The car runs, drives, and handles great, and the cost/fun factor cannot be beat.
Regarding the turbo insulation; I have upgraded to the ‘99 cylinder head with coolant re-route since the turbo kit was uninstalled. There will be a few things to sort out due to the changes. But, most of the kit will bolt right up, and the link fuel management works very well.
I have many miscellaneous parts that can go with the sale.
PM me with questions and offers. I will ignore low-ball offers so try to make offers reasonable. I do not want to part-out this car. I want to sell the car and turbo as a package. I will consider offers for the complete turbo kit and the complete car, but priority will be given to someone who wants both.
Thanks,
Jay
