Cspence's 1992 Mazda Miata - $6700 Tuckin99 N2 / 6UL / CF HT
Category: Import
Status: Clean Title
I have a 1992 Mazda Miata for sale, in USA - Connecticut.
Asking price is $7500 OBO
Well, I think the time may be coming where I need to part ways with the Miata. As of now this is more of a feeler than anything since I really don’t need to sell it, it’d just be nice to free up a little doe for the upcoming months (Wedding, Honeymoon, graduate school, house….) I purchased this car back in Feb 09 from a kid located in SC. Since then the car has run pretty much flawlessly and has brought many smiles to my face. Here is the all the info I have about the car from what either I or the PO have done. A compiled list is further down incase you don’t feel like reading, lol. Here is my build thread also… https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...ht=cspence%27s)
Previous owner had stated that the car weighed 2050lbs w/o gas or driver (It had a steel hood which I replaced with a stock aluminum one, but I also added the hardtop so this should still be fairly accurate)
The engine was rebuilt about ~8k miles (The original owner said the rebuild had 3K on it back in July 08. I assume he put another 1-2K on it before I bought it in Feb 09. Since then I have only put another 3-4K on the car since its strictly a weekend/fun car) . It has a flyin Miata high boost head gasket and arp head studs but it still has stock rods/pistons. It has a brand new oil pump, water pump, main/rod bearings, seals, gaskets rings hoses and everything.
The car has a mild steel log manifold with a gt28 off of a nissan pulsar gtir. The turbo should support 270 whp. i currently have it set at 18 psi but still have yet to dyno it. Based on how it performs next to other local Turbo Miatas, I would guess its in the 230-240 whp bracket right now. Its got a full 3 inch exhaust with an external Tial 38mm waste gate dumping into the Stainless downpipe. It has 2.5 inch stainless intercooler piping and a large bar and plate intercooler up front. It goes into a sheetmetal intake manifold that has no idle control valve or anything on it (idles and starts up great anyways ) fuel management is a megasquirt v 2.2. I’m using RC 440's (I have a set of Low Impedance RC 550’s w/ resistor packs that I could include with the car for an additional $150) and a Walbro 190. The bov is a greddy rs knock off. The car has passed CT emissions without a hitch (Sniffer test)

This car has probably been the most fun car I have ever owned and probably ever driven. Its not the fastest thing on the road (Although it can usually hold its own, lol) but it handles like a *****!! If your at all interested in this car, you should know that it is by no means a beauty queen and would probably NOT make a good DD. It would however make a great weekend warrior (as it was for me) or track car. If someone would like to purchase the car without the Wheels (-$900 – would need to supply own wheels), the hardtop (-$1000), or the STB ($-200) it can be done. I probably have $13K into the car and am looking for $7500 (with everything). I am open to shipping the car, but the buyer must make all arrangements and cover the fees. Like I mentioned earlier, I did originally ship this car from SC, so I have had some experience in that respect and would have no problems working that out with you. As many people on MT.net can attest, I am an honest and straight up guy, so please have no worries about this transaction. If anyone has any questions please let me know via post, pm, or email – SpenceChristopher@yahoo.com.

No parting out yet guys . If she doesn't sell whole or close to whole I'll probably hang on to it and continue to enjoy it. I'm not even going as far as to post anything on craiglist yet, even though the market here is pretty slim since most everyone here already has a miata (Although you never know if someone has a buddy that may be interested and/or if there are any lurkers/noobs out there )
I'll tell ya though, this is very hard to do....its my first time selling a modded car and its tough to see how money flew out the window putting this thing together and now adding it all up knowing I'll get nowhere near what I got into it

No way! I didnt even get to see the ******* thing in person yet!! lol
I've had the thought of selling or parting out mine about 100 times over the past year, but so far it hasn't come to that.
Hopefully you can keep it, but if it has to go I hope you get the price you want, god knows its worth it.
