Coming Soon: My sorted 91 Turbo Miata
It greatly saddens my heart to announce that I will be putting my 91 up for sale. I absolutely love the car, but recent new Miata acquisition forces the sale. I wish I had the garage space and income to justify keeping both.
It should be ready to go in about a week, so if anyone will be interested, please let me know.
Basic Highlites:
Good-
91 with original long nose 1.6, Appx 75K miles on vehicle
Synthetic oils since I've owned it
Working cold A/C, but otherwise base
5-speed manual
Solid Georgia car all its life, so no rust/rot issues
Soft top replaced 3 years ago and is in good shape
Turbo went on around 30K ago
Greddy turbo manifold and Mitsubishi 15G turbo
TurboTony 2.5" downpipe with flex joint and (2) o2 sensor locations
Spearco front mounted intercooler
Mostly T Bolt style clamps on charge pipes
Oil drain to tapped oil pan (TunerToys kit)
Dual feed fuel rail
Walbro 190lph high pressure fuel pump
Real RC Engineering fuel injectors
Griffin aluminum radiator, NB lower rad hose, new OEM thermostat
Dual stage cooling fans
Coil on plug ignition
MSPNP with dual 4bar MAP sensor for on the fly barometric correction
MSPNP was modified by DIY Autotune for real TPS and extra grounding and is running the newest version of HiRez firmware
Electronic boost control
Car is professionaly tuned by DIY Autotune
Linear TPS is grafted to stock throttle body and uses factory wiring
Innovate LC1 wideband
Autometer EGT and Boost/Vac gauges on A pillar
1.8 brakes, Hawk pads and rotors are ~1 year old
1.8 ACT HD clutch with lightened/resurfaced flywheel
1.8 differential/axles/driveshaft with RX7 clutch LSD
E-code lamps with HID
Twilight headlamps in front with re-located turn signal bulbs
SMT LED bulbs in rear tail and turn positions
Black cloth interior in good shape. Seats are NOT the typical ripped and faded that you usually see.
The mod list above is certainly not extensive. This is a fast car and not for an inexperienced driver. It made 255whp on a real dyno at only 6700 RPM. Power was climbing, but the tuner did not want to run the car out. I have most everything that came with the car including owner's books, 2 keys, and top boot.
Bad-
2 stars in windshield, both on passenger side that don't obscure driver's vision
a little bit of damage to driver's fender (like that when I bought it) and rear bumper (my fault)
window tint works but isn't as great as I'd hoped for
Over the next week, I am planning on installing new suspension (NB hats, Bilstein shocks with Tein springs and FCM bumps, FM sway bars), flushing the trans, brakes, and clutch, and doing a compression check. I'm also going to sucker, I mean ASK, a friend who is really good at detailing to clean it up real nice.
I also have a tremendous amount of spare and original parts that go with the car if bought at asking price. Things like an extra fuel rail with FPR and the original fuel pump. An R-Package front lip. An extra 1.6 A/C compressor. An extra center console. Extra interior door panels and arm rests in nice shape. Extra relays. A spare 15G turbo with polished compressor that needs rebuild, with a GPOP 15G turbo rebuild kit. Stainless door sill gaurds. And much, much more.
Also included is nearly every stock part to come off the car such as the exhaust manifold, intake system, headlamps, throttle body with standard TPS, original coils, and all sorts of other things to bring the car back to N/A. I have 99% of the car's stock parts and they're all included. I also have a BEGi Greddy intake tube and the original Greddy crossover pipe, as well as different wastegate actuators.
The buyer will be shocked by the mountain of parts that come with the vehicle.
Car will come with the original hood and 10AE wheels. My aftermarket extraction hood, hardtop, and 6UL wheels will not be included with the sale. The aftermarket hood is available to the purchaser of the vehicle for $250, otherwise a local has dibs on it. I have an extra blue OEM hood that I cut an extraction vent into that the buyer can have with the car if so desired. The hardtop and 6UL wheels are not available for purchase.
This Miata has no known mechanical defects. It's taken me several years and many thousands of dollars to get it where it is: Strong and reliable. I unfortunately never got a chance to drive the car in any competitive events (not even autocross), though it has run some parade laps at Road Atlanta. Never open tracked. Car has never been abused, but it has been driven, and I can testify that it's faster than most anything else on the street to include most sport bikes in the mountains. No, it's not faster than a new F430, but a 360, Viper Venom 800, Elise, N/A S2000, supercharged S2000, turbocharged S2000, and many others have seen my pretty LED tail lamps. Passengers have, on occasion, found religion when riding shotgun.
I'm looking for $5500 for the car with all the extras and spares I have (minus the 3 items listed of course). I will be willing to assist in anyway possible from airport pick up to meeting a shipping company hired by you. Title is clear and in my posession. We're located ~35 minutes from downtown Atlanta.

I also have a Sony VAIO laptop that I can include with the car if you don't have one. It's a XP Home, 1.8G P4m, built in cdrw/dvd, 12.1" screen, 512 ram, 40G HD. The hard drive on this one crashed, I replaced it and aquired and loaded the factory software, and then never used it.
The battery sucks! But I'll include it for free with the car at $5500.

I think your ride was on wastegate boost only if memory serves. But I do get a lot of comments and complements from passengers regarding how smooth the car runs and how seamless it is as it goes into over atmospheric pressures. Thanks for the vouch.

Thanks. I replied to your PM.
Yeah, that was wastegate only. I was looking for a break up that was occurring under load, was thinking there was an issue with the COPs. I was looking for any defects in their wiring harness when you pulled up. So I slapped on the stock coils and plug wires, pulled off the EBC, and took you for a ride. I found and corrected the actual problem later; a loose connection at the CAS.
I've been running the car at 10psi with MBC for a while now to keep it a little more civilized, but it's tuned and ready to rock the EBC for a lot more power if desired.
I did take someone for a ride a couple weeks ago and he was recording on his phone. I'll see if he kept it..

Replied to the PMs I received. I'm glad to see good response, especially so quickly.
I'll have new pics next week after I get some parts swapped and the car's officially up for sale.
