90 Red Turbo - Newtown,Pennsylvania
Addition to the family. Red has to go...
1990 Red Turbo Miata - $5200 OBO
Extremely reliable and fast. If you don't want to be embarrassed by soccer moms in mini van's, you will need forced induction in your Miata.
Save big by purchasing a complete package.
- GReddy Turbo Kit with 6K miles on it. This is a kit specifically designed for Miatas. I have replaced the bolts with a higher grade and created the relief cuts in the manifold.
- Bipes engine management protects from knock
- Mazda Speed Suspension
- HardDog Duece Roll Bar - Real protection not just the looks
- Fresh paint makes the car look new
- Spare engine
Price does not include after market wheels. Car will come with stock wheels and like new Yoko ES100s. If you want Flik Fuel wheels we can work out a deal.
More pictures here: http://pub.gm-gs.com/miata
Miata season has started. Don't miss out!
Selling due to addition in the family! 2 seats don't cut it anymore!

looks like a good deal, does the car have a/c or power steering? how much boost is it currently running? how many miles are on the car?

Recent addition to the family suggested that Miata is extra. Both I and Miata fought back, but lost the fight. I am not pressed to sell, but logic suggests it makes sense. Stupid logic.
I purchased the car in May of 06 with 146K miles on it. Previous owner had replaced the suspension with 2005 MSM suspension (does wonders to handling) as well as install new clutch slave cylinder. Car came with an aftermarket stereo – Sony Head Unit, Pioneer equalizer, Infinity amplifier and Boston Accoustic speakers. I recently replaced them with Infinity components as I thought one of the speakers acting up – turned out to be a loose woofer. So extra set of Boston Acoustic speakers for the buyer.
Extra parts: Car was sold with a spare engine to me. It’s a 1.6 that was rebuilt, but then “overheated”. I was told the car was shutdown immediately after the needle started climbing. But a new head gasket would be a good recommendation if you want to use it. Definitely tons of spares on it. Engine will be included with the sale.
Since I purchased the car I have done the following:
1. Installed Boss Frog Dual loop roll bar. This is not a waste of money style bar – will save lives if needed. It works great with the Robbins top.
2. Fabricated a wind screen. It’s attached to the loops on the roll bar. Very effective at highway speeds. I was driving topdown in November with the heater on and felt comfortable.
3. Replaced stock wheels with Flik Fuels in bronze. Wonderful combo for red (IMHO). Tires are Faulken Ziex 512.
4. Body had it’s share of dings on it when purchased. Dings were filled and car was resparayed. Paint looks real good. See pictures.
6. December of 06 purchased a brand new Greddy Turbo kit from NOPI. That was around 154K miles. Tightened waste gate 5.5-6PSI. Tune up wires + plugs.
7. Along with turbo purchased a Bipes unit. Timing is currently at 14deg.
8. AC was not working. Replaced the compressor with the spare.
9. Replaced the “high pressure” AC compressor line with brand new one from the dealer.
10. Brakes were done last August. Rotors + pads on all 4 wheels.
11. Replace O2 sensor with Bosch 4wire. Much smoother cold operation.
12. New battery (proper vented unit) Novemeber 07.
13. Replaced radiator with brand new unit from the dealer in December of 07.
14. All synthetic fluids + Mobil1 synth every 2K miles.
So to summize the “mods”:
- Fresh Paint
- Flik Fuel wheels + tires
- GReddy kit at 6PSI
- Bipes
- Boss Frog rollbar
- Tune up (wires + plugs)
- Recent brakes
- Aftermarket stereo
- MSM suspension
- Spare engine (may need new head gasket)
- Flying Miata front Strut bar (not installed)
The good:
- Car looks wonderful.
- Great handling and amazing accelaration.
- Car has been reliable accept for the vacuum leak that was haunting me, but that has been fixed.
- This one was loved by previous owners and me.
The not so good:
AC belt started to squeek last summer. The compress may be about to go. Beacuse of the annoyance I took the belt off.
Carpet is not prestine. There are holes on the driver side by the pedals. They are covered by the Miata stiched floor mats, so are not a bother.
Currenltly 160K miles. Car is always complemented by fellow miata enthusiast as looking wonderful for 1990. A few more years and she will be a classic.
This is not a beater project miata. She is sold as a complete package for someone to enjoy driving. She was my daily driver and never caused issues.
If car does not sell before, she will be at Warminster on 4/20 under #1 SM2. Else PM or call me to check it out 267 242 6994.

It's an 05 MSM with about 13K miles on it now. Was installed by previous owner. Since it's an NB suspension there is no asphalt scraping. Driving characteristics are MUCH better than stock. If ur local come out to Warminster this weekend to see in person.

New price is $3950 without the roll bar and after market wheels.
#9
so this engine has 146k on it?
why weren't the rust bubbles fixed when it was resprayed?

The original engine was rebuilt and then overheated before i took ownership. It is being offered as a spare in this sale. The engine in the bay, was installed by 2 owners before me. I don't have the details on the mileage. Since it was a swap I am assuming it's fresher than the chassis.
Bubbles weren't fixed because this wasn't a 4K repaint.

I don't understand what you mean? What does "a little much if you dont know the mileage of the car." mean, when the mileage is clearly spelled out?
The odometer is 161K. Engine was replaced "two owners" before me. Please read the posts above for more details.
Keep in mind that his car needs nothing to be a reliable daily driver. If you are looking for a track beast, keep shopping. This is a fast and reliable daily driver.
