2005 Mazdaspeed with mods and hard top
Unfortunately it is time to sell my 2005 Titanium Gray Mazdaspeed Miata. I've had it for close to 8 months and it was being built to be my track car. As life would have it, we have our first baby due any day and it's time to downsize the 2 seater toys.
The Good:
-100,xxx on chassis
-50,xxx on engine with brand new head
-MS3PNP Ecu (if you know anything about MSM's the stock ecu is complete garbage and there's no hope for the car without it being replaced)
--innovate wideband LC2 and gauge
- Flyin Miata Happy Meal Clutch (only ~300 miles and feels great)
-Flyin Miata exhaust manifold
-Flyin Miata intake
-Flyin Miata oil drain check valve
-Flyin Miata boost gauge
-GTX PCV valve (better for turbo cars)
-Large Front Mount Intercooler
-Large injectors
-Electronic boost controller
-ISIS(now called ISR) turbo
-Hard Top
-newer tires
-precut for hard dog roll bar
-Just installed shifter rebuild kit for the 6 Speed
-Just took her on a 4 hour road trip and she was perfect. Just hop in and drive!
Cons:
-Body has some blemishes
-Some clear coat peeling on the trunk and above the front windshield
-there's a crack in the windshield, not sure if it is growing or not, but it is there.
-the foglight lenses are busted, but I've got new lights I'll throw in
- The latches don't want to tighten up well on the hardtop so there's some wind sound. Planned on putting fixed hardtop mounts that would change that, but I could be missing something simple on the existing brackets.
-small rip on driver door interior.
-small hole or two on driver seat
-idle wanders a little from time to time, not sure if it's tune or a small vacuum leak. Intermittent.
-no carpet in trunk area
I bought the car with a toasted rod bearing on cylinder 4, pulled the motor and put in a 2001 JDM motor with a 99 head that was completely rebuilt. Pull the valve cover and you could eat off if it it's so clean! Put all the go fast parts on, and she runs great! Tuned by a very reputable tuner on waste gate pressure, we haven't even turned up the boost past 8psi and she's lots of fun! Should be good to a comfortable 12-14 but I knew I wasn't keeping it once we started tuning so I just told him to keep it safe and fun. Overall the car is great. The body isn't perfect (posted the worst parts in the pictures), but I didn't care because I was going to track it. With a can of touch up paint, the worst of it could be taken care of. It's a clean title, no known crashes or anything.
$7,000 OBO (CASH ONLY)
No trades or part out.
