2002 Subaru WRX - $9500
Category: Import
Status: Clean Title
I have a 2002 Subaru WRX for sale, in USA - California.
Mileage: 160000 miles
Engine Size: 2.0
Asking price is $9500
2002 Subaru WRX
Aspen white
~160k miles on the chassis
~45k miles on the engine
I know it's not a Miata, but I've been a member on here for a while and wanted to see if there were any interesting offers :)
I love this car and am still not sure about getting rid of it. In June I had a low mileage EJ20 out of a 2004 wrx swapped in at Forman Performance mated to a set of cleaned and rebuilt WRX heads. The water pump, all engine gaskets, headstuds, head gaskets, and timing belt components were replaced with the fresh shortblock, I have receipts and paperwork for everything done on the car. This is essentially a fresh engine with new seals throughout.
At 160k I replaced:
- front wheel bearings and seals
- front hubs
- right front axle
- upstream 02 sensor
- fresh NGK Iridium plugs
- fresh Motul 5w40
I miss rwd coming from miatas and 240s. Looking to trade for a Honda S2000 or something that’s light, rwd, and good on gas.
Currently looking to trade, not sell. But asking $9500.
If you don’t like the price don’t post. I'm in no hurry to sell.
Put down 270whp (5/20/11)
Here’s the mod list:
Engine:
- EJ20 shortblock ~40k out of an 04
- Rebuilt and cleaned WRX heads
- VF22 turbo
- STI pink fuel injectors
- Perrin up pipe
- JDM STI bypass valve
- Blitz SUS intake with velocity stack
- JDM V7 red intake manifold
- Mishimoto dual core aluminum radiator
- Walbro 255 fuel pump
- NGK Iridium spark plugs (1 step colder)
- ARC thermostat
- Cusco Radiator cap
- X02 Racing big TMIC
- Greddy EVO 2 catback
- 3” downpipe (forgot the brand)
Transmission:
- 2003 transmission installed by the previous owner at 100k
- Redline fluids in the trans and diff
- Exedy street clutch
- Kartboy short shifter
- Group N tranny mount
Brakes:
- Axxis Ultimate pads front and rear
- Fresh Centric blank rotors
- Motul RBF600 fluid
Suspension:
- 04 spec (stiffer) Tanabe GF210 springs
- JDM V7 STI struts
- 04 wrx strut mounts
- Progress 22mm adjustable rear sway bar
- Cusco 22mm front sway bar
- Whiteline steering rack bushings
Wheels and tires:
- 17x8 et48 Rota Boost painted white
- 225/45/17 Federal 595s (almost new)
- Muteki open end lug nuts
Exterior:
- OEM Subaru foglight covers
- Debadged trunk with STI emblem
- DIY painted OEM white sideskirts (could use a re-paint)
- Carbon Fiber front side markers
- DIY black housing headlights
- Replica V-limited front lip
- Rally Armor mud flaps
Interior:
- Currently has 2 Evo 8 Recaros bolted to the floor on Sparco brackets set for a 6’ driver (very low)
- Blitz boost gauge
- Blitz FATT turbo timer
- DIY black painted dash trim
- DIY red radio
- DIY red cluster - cracks on cluster face from removing green tint
- DIY red HVAC backlight
- Zerosport red stitch shift boot
- OEM armrest extension
- OEM rubber floor mats
Other:
- Tein Hood dampers
- Rear 3 windows tinted
- I’m probably forgetting some stuff…
The bad:
- Both bumpers have scratches and nicks (160k+ body)
- Sideskirts could use a re-paint and are missing one or two fasteners
- Small crack on the gauge cluster by the gas gauge (previous owner, no idea how)
