2002 SE Kraken 2860 $12k firm
**SOLD**
Hello,
Up for sale is my turbo 2002 Special Edition Miata. #581 of 1,491.
I purchased this car in 2017 from a mature owner in Jacksonville Florida.
Never been through a winter and there is no rust on any component.
This car is solid. Initially tuned by Shane @ DB performance, it is very safely making roughly 270hp.
4/18/24 compression test was all within healthy range and within only 6% variance.
Leak down test shows only 10-14% loss. Impressively healthy engine.
Its altogether as fairly clean as a 20yr old car that gets driven can be.
Relatively, I’d give the exterior maybe an 8/10 and the interior a 9/10.
Comes with both sets of wheels, wind blocker and OEM rear spats(not pictured/installed).
Feel free to request any extra info or any additional photos.
Love this car, its solid and ready to get on track or drive across the country. Feels super quick and pulls hard throughout the rpms but isnt too much of a chore to drive around normally. I feel that its the perfect middle ground for power and drivability. Selling because I have another project in process and need the space. That and I would also like to get into a new daily that will tow the other project.

Superbowl Sunday bump. I'm not gonna lie, I'm hoping for a delayed sale. At least until I get my MSM out of storage and new tires installed. It would be fun to compare IRL "on track".
(colors changed for clarity, extra formatting spaces get deleted)
My MSM <---> Your 2002 SE
FM2 GT2560R <--->Kraken GT2860RS
2.5" FM2 + 2.5 FM cat + Magnaflow <---> 3" DP + race pipe + R.B. 2.5"
1.9 MSM 8.6:1 forged <---> 1.8 VVT 10:1?
~2k miles on new engine <---> 120k miles
~18 psi <---> ~16 psi (? from PMs)
Flat top manifold + OEM TB <--->Flat top manifold + Skunk TB
3.63 + 6 speed <---> 3.9 + 6 speed
7600 RPM redline <---> 7200 RPM redline
215/45-16 (16x7 Konig Feather)<---> 225/45-15 (15x8 or street setup?)
MS3 (almost tuned) <---> MS3
My lower compression with extra ignition advance (potentially, we haven't compared tunes) and ~2 psi more boost on a smaller turbo, plus longer gearing...might be pretty close to even? I'm hoping this sells locally. I'd say my Titanium Gray exterior edges yours out ever so slightly in the looks department (MSM bumper lips, no appearance pkg, BF double hoop, can install the matching hardtop) but your car edges mine out with the brown interior accents.
I won't clog your sale add with added pics, if anybody wants to see my doppleganger...
MSM with nice trailer <--it's a joke, it's not attached, I helped this couple out with a project and asked if I could take the picture.
For Sale Photo off eBay of all places!
