Default 2001 Sunlight Silver LS, 62,000 miles

I purchased it in 2012 with 40,000 miles, it now has about 61,500 miles (~3,000 miles/year) and might go up slightly over the next few weeks. Garage stored, no rust, never driven in snow (stored each winter). The paint is in very good condition as are all the rubber seals. It needs nothing, jump in and drive. I am selling because I recently purchased a very low mileage, 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5.

6-speed transmission (Ford synthetic trans fluid)
3.9 Torsen LSD (fluid was changed at around 40k miles)
ABS
A/C
Cruise Control
Flyin' Miata Springs
Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks
Koyo 37mm aluminum radiator
Braided stainless steel clutch hose (easier to bleed)
New Clutch slave cylinder -Summer 2019

The timing belt, water pump, front seals (camshaft + crankshaft), and accessory belts were replaced Summer of 2018. All coolant hoses were also replaced Summer of 2018. No leaks, just preventative maintenance. I have most of the Mazda bags with part numbers...might have receipts as well.

The springs/shocks are not overly stiff and they do help keep the suspension off the bump stops compared to OEM. After installing the springs and shocks the alignment was set to Flyin' Miata specs. A shop that races Porsches hit the numbers perfectly. I have never raced the car and the alignment isn't overly aggressive. There is no abnormal tire wear, it only sharpened response and evened out handling. The additional caster slightly increased steering effort so it's more stable/planted at higher speeds. It no longer feels twitchy like it might dive into the next lane if you sneezed.

BF GoodRich Sport Comp 2 tires in OEM size (high performance, summer only)
Tires rotated every 3-4k miles, oil and filter changed at the same time just before winter storage
New AGM Battery in 2018 (Duracell AGM -rebranded Deka/Penn?)
Chrome fuel door (factory option)
Chrome door sill protectors (Mazda special edition option - tan/chrome)

3 keys and 2 remotes are programmed to the car. With two keys you can program another yourself ($35-50/key). If only one key, it's a trip to the dealer ($$$).

Modifications:
I installed a DRL module to increase visibility. Since installing it not one vehicle has pulled out in front of me. The turn signals illuminate as DRLs yet still function normally as turn signals. The OEM wiring was untouched. I ordered 1157 bulb sockets (male/female) and all module wiring was done to this plug and play patch harness. It could simply be unplugged and will function as Mazda designed, no worries about future wiring issues.

I removed the Bose radio, speakers, and unplugged the Bose amplifier. The amp was bypassed using jumper wires inserted into the OEM plug and the proper radio wire harness was used, no cutting or wire taps. The newer JVC stereo has bluetooth and USB drive reading capability. I installed the microphone on the trim panel in front of the steering wheel where the turn signal stalks are located. The stereo night illumination color also closely matches the dash illumination.

The tweeters were replaced with 2" full range speakers wired to the front channels of an amplifier and 8" speakers installed in the doors wired to the rear channels. To add wiring into the door I bought used door harnesses on eBay. This allowed me to insert extra pins into empty spots in the original harness plugs. Again, plug and play...no cutting, hacking, or drilling was involved.

The amplifier is hidden behind the trunk trim panels in the passenger side tunnel (area between gas tank and the right rear shock tower). The 2" speakers are crossed over to protect them from damaging low notes, and the amplifier gain was carefully set to avoid the possibility of turning the volume up to the point of speaker damaging distortion. You can easily hear the music at highway speeds with the top down set at 60-70% maximum volume.

The amber front marker lights on the front bumper were replaced with clear lenses. They are reflective and still illuminate amber at night. The original side marker lights are included, easy to swap back Bulbs were also added to rear marker lights, wired into the parking lights. They did not illuminate from the factory.

What's not perfect...
The passenger seat cover has a small 1.5-2" tear in the leather seat bottom. Replacement upholstery covers can be bought for around $250 (vinyl) or $450 (leather) from Ridies.com. I was about to replace them when I found the 2004 MSM. The leather and vinyl, color matched samples are in the glove box.

The tires are approaching the wear bars. I didn't have any trouble driving through this very rainy summer even at highway speeds. Still, I expect they'll hit the wear bars next year.

The soft top looks to be the original. It doesn't leak but it's starting to show it's age where it folds. I kept it clean with a soft brush and treated it with soft top UV vinyl protectant.

There are rock chips on the bumper, hood, and mirrors. I have the OEM paint pen and keep them touched up. There are a few minor door dings and scratches. I always parked far away and tried to get an end spot but you can't control where and how other people park and open doors! :-(

The brake fluid was flushed about two years ago and did so every 2-3 as preventative maintenance. Next Spring would be suggested again.

$6,500 I have another 13 photos...Email would be easier plus I can take specific pictures of anything you'd like to see.

I forgot to mention the car has LOUD freeway blaster horns. Not air horns that often have a slight delay. These are high/low tones like heard from a large car. They demand attention versus the cartoon like "meep meep" cute sound of the original horn (single tone).

Also, I have removed the clear, LED 3rd brake light and strobe module. I reinstalled the original red lens brake light as I transferred the LED light to my Mazdaspeed.
