Default 2000 Mazda Turbo Miata LS - $9k

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 2000 Mazda Turbo Miata LS for sale, in USA - New York.

Mileage: 72,317 miles
Engine Size: 1.8

Asking price is $9k

I'll be buying a house this summer and want to get back into one car as I will also be getting a bike this summer. A miata just isn't practical for a dd right now. I bought this car last april and drove it home from Sacramento California. This car has never seen a winter and is 99% rust free.

Motor now has about 10-15k miles on it. The milage on the car itself is 72,317 miles. There are less miles on the turbo than on the motor. Currently the car is at 16psi making around 285whp, at 18psi it puts down around 307-310whp on e85. The timing on the e85 tune is rather conservative right now and can be tweaked a bit adding more power. The car is currently set with the 93 octane tune for sitting over the winter. The car runs really well, and idles better than stock. Except with ac on*** At stops it does want to nearly die on you but if you feather the gas a little it won't stutter. This is only at idle with the ac on. If you'r cruising with ac on and toss it in neutral foot off the gas the needle will sit at idle and not move, just as if the car was sitting still and ac off. There is a fix for this that can be found on the miata forums. It didn't really bother me that much to look into it.

This car really is an absolute joy to drive and I hate to let it go...

Here is the mod list as it was when I bought the car.

UNDERHOOD:
honed block
9.1:1 pistons
m-tuned rods
chrom-moly rings
new headgasket
all new seals/gaskets/etc
new water pump/timing belt

custom 3" mandrel exhaust with 6x18 cannister and 2 big resonators
custon 2.5" aluminum front mount intercooler kit
GM ait sensor
forge blow off valve
nxs manual boost controller
Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors
Walbro 255HP fuel pump
ACT hdg6 6-puck sprung clutch kit
All new fluids/oil/coolant (few months old)

ROLLERS:
Raceland Coilovers
TRMotorsport 15x9 +36 wheels (almost new)
205/50/16 tires

INSIDE:
megasquirt DIYPNP with ms2-extra firmware
internal MAp sensor
hardwired tuning cable (removable)
Autometer boost gauge
AEM uego wideband o2 kit (hardwired into MS)
MOMO JDM rx7 fd3s steering wheel
Pioneer head unit (lights up same color as speedometer)

OUTSIDE:
OEM hardtop with defroster and headliner
Kee soft top with glass window (less than 3 years old now. Does have a tiny hole below the glass that I sealed up. Does not leak)
blacked out 03 Miata projector headlights
Xentec HID kit 6000k
Red out tail lights
03 Miata front bumper
Optional equipment Front lip
Optional side skirts
OEM rear mud flaps
smoked emblems
OEM 01+ Mazda Miata "crisp white" paint job

The car now has Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's that came off the car I had before this. They have at least 50-60% tread left. I also put in a brand new FM Level 2 clutch in June when I had to replace the trans. It is good for 353hp.

The bad:
Paint isn't perfect, there is some chipping at the top of the drivers door. I believe it was due to poor prep from whoever painted it. It is not noticeable unless pointed out but should be looked into.

The car also has a minor coolant leak coming from the coolant re-rout. When I bought the car it came with an - ebay coolant re-rout that was way to difficult to get at with the motor in the car. It leaked like a mother ****** so I went with a M-Tuned coolant re-route kit that I purchased from Flyin' Miata. I thought it solved the issue but put the car away soon after. The leak is nowhere near what is was before but I did notice some drips when I went to start the car last time. I'm sure it's just not sealing properly.

You have to convert it back to na for emissions inspection. All the parts needed to do this will be included. I'm willing to help you convert it to stock and back to turbo again for the first time you get the car inspected. I know my way around the car, doesn't take to long at all. :)

Extra parts:
I have a mazdaspeed miata rear end and axles sitting in my shed. I had purchased them for 1k that I will work into the price. I believe they had 20-30k miles on them so they are relatively new.

I also have a greddy turbo timer I was to lazy to install, I'll toss that in as I will never use it. I always had let the car run a bit before I shut it down.

Price:
I bought the car last year for a little under 10k, I'm looking to get 9k for it.

I don't have to sell the car right now and was actually looking to drive it till I get my own place. I'll let it go sooner for my asking price, if not I'll drive it when the salt clears.

Pics:

Interior shots. The fake roll bar is not included as these are the pics the previous owner took and that did not come with the car. It looks the same as I didn't change a thing.

I was reading this ad, and I read the part where it said "drove the car home from Sacramento, CA. I was like, "18psi's car?"

So anyone know why my pics aren't working anymore? They work on the other three forums this thread is made on lol. Not like people here don't know what 18psi's car looks like so I'm not to concerned.

I am interested in your car but I am ~5 hours away near Pittsburgh PA. Do you have a walk around video or pictures you can post? Also can't PM you due to my post count.

I posted some vids of it before I sold it to him. Search my threads if you want to see them, I'm pretty sure they're still up.

And I'm not sure why pics are not working for you Bryan, perhaps re-link them or re-upload them.

Where is the 1% rust located and how bad is the paint on the drivers side door? Can you get some pics of that and any other significant imperfections? I need to figure funds out with my bank but if everything looks good I'd like to come check it out sometime soon. Can you send me a pm?
