That would be the worst thing to ever happen to that car.

Interesting... looke like he just used the mods list I gave him and added some details... also, seems like the mileage listed when we did the tile last is only a couple thousand more than when i sold it to him..... Wonder if he blew it up? He DID manage to get $1600 more for it then i sold it for though!

Not to bump a old topic or anything but the only reason i joined this site was because of this miata here.
Been stalking all of airbrush's posts to learn everything about the car as it is still for sale on craigslist here in illinois for 11,500.
As i understand he bought it from you for 7000?
I talked to him on the phone a while back and he used to have a chop shop, he bought it with the intention of parting your car out and making a bunch of money off of it.
Then his business shut down and he decided to keep it and sell it.
How come you let it go so cheap?! You must have had so much money in that poor car!

I loved that car and still miss it! As for what's wrong with it? The car I sold was uncomfortable to ride in and drive, and needed some cold start tuning but was otherwise well sorted... I sold it cheap because I was moving into a new home and wanted some cash in my pocket for incidental expenses... I payed off a credit card and my other miata with the money, then went out and bought an evo which I now want to sell so I can get another miata!

Thanks for the reply airbrush i really appreciate it!
And by cold start tuning you mean i should let it warm up before i drive it?
The guy said its running a 14lb spring in the external wastegate but i read you were only running .8bar which is like 11psi unless my conversions are getting shabby. So is it boosting at 14 like he said? Because he previously told me he changed nothing since he bought it. He also said he had the 18lb spring to switch in if i wanted to go crazy.
292 rwhp seems like a lot for such a small car, id be happy with the 265 at 14psi, or even less if the tuner allowed.
Edit:
Also, how much money did you have into the car before you sold it?
