FWIW i just bought a 2000, with 143,000 miles, for 3,100.
Once they get over 100k, they drop a bit in price. Over 150k, jeeze.

Noone's gonna pay 7k for a car with no management and 150k miles, that almost drowns itself out.
4,500 is proaaabably a more reasonable asking price.

Hell yeah, even I would take the car for 4,500 as a fix-er-up.

Poor thing needs proper engine management and instrumentation ;_;

I found mine on craigslist, using the crazedlist tool. Google it, it's great. Super easy to find em cheap.

Hey guys, so apparently I was asking too much for my car; fair enough. I feel as if $5,500 is a fair offer. Anyway, $5,500 takes the car.

I didnt see this on here, but saw it on CL... here's his response and what scared me.
"Hello, the rebuild consisted of new rings and bearings. As for fuel management there are larger injectors because I am running low boost so timing did not need to be adjusted so the injectors take care of the fueling."

Sorry to ***** the thread... actually no I'm not.

I mean the car doesnt detonate and besides running rich it runs fine. I mean when in boost there are no bogs and it pulls like crazy. Im sure my afr's arent perfect, but not dangerous

you should direct whoever buys it to the mturbo forums if they're not already a member...
so they can put some management on it...
so it doesn't explode...

Seeing his great response record to PMs and emails, there's about a 0% chance of that happening.

All it would have taken to sell the car here would be a little effort, like calling the shop that did the work and documenting all of the work done. Running the car on a dyno for ONE pull and getting an A/F reading to post.

That's it, done, and as an added bonus, no more **** from people here either.
