Default 1999 Mazda Miata - $10,500

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1999 Mazda Miata for sale, in USA - California.

Mileage: 65000 miles

Asking price is $10,500
Price reduced, final price, starting to disassemble it this weekend

I've been building this slowly over the past two and a half years as my ideal street car.
Has A/C that blows cold, Cruise control, starts the first time every time, it was my daily for about a year and a half then it's been a full scale model / weekend car for the last year.
I've never been pulled over or hassled, even when driving with the full splitter, gt wing and the old straight pipe exhaust...but I'm white and over 30.
However, we recently found out we're going to have a new little addition to our family. I always meant to keep the car forever as I'm sure you'll be able to tell from the upgrade list, but after seeing the ultrasounds I feel like it's time to sell my favorite toy so I'll be able to give our new addition some toys of their own.

1999 Miata
160xxx miles on chassis
62xxx on 05 msm drivetrain
240.9 HP / 194.3 LBFT @ 10 psi
(This setup is good for between 280-290 squirrels at higher boost, but my tuning philosophy is to build for longevity and reliability not peak power. I was very happy with these numbers at 10psi so I stopped there.)

Exterior:

White with custom violet pearl clear coat (paint is 2 years old)
Factory Hardtop painted to match
Autokonexion v1 fiberglass trunk, painted with the rest of the car (stock color matched trunk included as well.)
Two taillight options 99, professionally smoked and polished tails and side markers or 01+ nb2 tail lights.

Drivetrain:
05 Mazdaspeed Miata Engine 62k miles
6 speed trans 62k miles
Mobil 1 15/50 in the engine
Redline mt90 in the trans
Motul RBF600 for clutch and brakes

OS Giken Fluid in the Diff
OS Giken LSD (limited slip differential) with 4.1 gears 6k miles

Custom ordered Begi Turbo kit for 99

Hydra Nemesis 2.7 ecu (tuned by Sean Church of Church Automotive)
-integrated wideband
-auto tune enabled
-brand new Hydra wideband $$$ (less than 500 miles)
-external sensor calibration enabled
-EGT (exhaust gas temperature) trim maps enabled (egts can climb when driving for a long time under load, so this allows the ecu to automatically compensate and save your engine from excessive wear or damage. A great insurance for track driving.)
-calibrated for PLX devices EGT sensor
Turbo smart manual boost controller set to 10 psi (14psi is safe on this motor)

Flyin Miata billet dual feed fuel rail
RC Engineering 550cc injectors I just sent these out to be cleaned and calibrated less than 500 miles ago.
Synapse Engineering Syncronic BOV (blow off valve)
Garrett Ball Bearing gt2560r (1,500 miles since rebuild by Limit Engineering, Flyin Miata's turbo shop)
Custom Stainless Steel Oil and Water lines for the turbo using factory mazdaspeed outlets.
Begi ductile iron manifold with diverters for directing exhaust pulses (turbo spools faster)
Trackspeed Engineering 10mm inconel studs and stage 8 locking hardware for turbo (bolts wont break or loosen due to vibration on the track)
Mazda competition motor/trans mounts
Greddy oil catch can
Stainless steel clutch line
ACT streetlight Flywheel
Clutchnet Carbon Kevlar Clutch (good to 350hp)
New clutch master cylinder
New clutch slave cylinder
Flyin Miata full Stainless Steel Turbo Exhaust with cat (sounds great when you get on it, but doesn't draw attention during normal driving. also neighbor approved for coming home late at night)

Chassis/Suspension:
Tein Flex 10kg front 7 kg rear 10k miles mostly freeway, no track days
RacingBeat Rear Lower control arm brace
Racing beat tubular front sway bar with poly endlinks
Racing beat Sway Bar brace/chassis reinforcement
Racing beat rear sway bar with poly endlinks
SS brake lines
Crossdrilled rotors
Hawk HP+ pads
949 6UL 15x9 matte black wheels with 225/45R15 NT01
ARP extended studs on all four corners, 949 racing lugs

Interior:
Real Bride Zeta III (3) type L bucket seats for both driver and passenger
Custom seat mount brackets.
Driver side is mounted low (I'm 6'2" and have no problem fitting)
Passenger is on sliders
Hard Dog Double Diagonal Hard Core roll bar
Harness anchors
3" 5pt harness
Alarm, immobilizer and remote door locks

I'm sure there's more, but that's a good start.
I have a big binder of receipts research dynos and records.
I'm happy to answer any questions and show the car.

(I might consider a 2006 or newer Legacy GT or WRX with a manual transmission in trade to replace my daily. I can add cash on top depending on year, mileage and condition.)

Honestly, if you caught me a year or so from now after I built up some cash I might have been on this. Nice car.

Very nice. If this was an NB2 I would be all over it.

thanks cardriverx.

vteckiller, good thing about the 99 is you can get the carb exemption sticker for the turbo kit. then just convert the front end. its already got nb2 tails. if you want vvt just swap out the head, the hydra is already in place. easy rigght!?

CARB is a non issue, we don't have emissions or inspections here. I don't really want VVT, I have actually been looking at MSM's to drop my built long block in. The skinny is that I need to borrow a little monies for a year or two to make it work and finish the project and pre NB2 and MSM's don't loan for crap.

As the person who started the thread, if you are in the correct section, double click next to the thread title and you should be able to edit it. There is a time period though on how long it is editable by the creator. I will update it for you though.
