1996 Mazda Miata - 293whp Rotrex Supercharged - $20000
Category: Import
Status: Clean Title
I have a 1996 Mazda Miata for sale, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Engine Size: 1.6L
Asking price is $20000
After much deep consideration I have decided to put my Miata up for sale. Below is a list of more or less everything I can think of at this moment. I'm sure I'm missing few minor things here and there but you get an idea...
The obvious details;
1996 chassis, bought and imported to Canada from San Jose. Car has no rust to speak of.
Chassis had 122,000 Miles when I bought it and has since had a Racepak dash installed which does not record KMS that reliably. I have put a conservative 20,000kms since owning it, 15,000 of that on the motor set up I had built by Ocean at Chikara Motorsports in Vancouver, BC.
-5spd manual transmission
-no power steering
-no AC
-no power windows or locks
-comes with hard top, no soft top
Engine top and bottom end build by Ocean at Chikara Motorsports (porting was done before I bought the head and "finished" up by Ocean).
Engine Bottom End
Supertech 8.7:1 pistons
M-tuned connecting rods
ARP2000 con rod bolts
Maruha F112 rod and crank bearings
VVT high flow oil pump
Coolant reroute to increase flow and cooling to cyl #4
46mm Racing Aluminium radiator
Engine Top End
Shadbolt Cams custom grind cams
Ported/polished head (extensive work done)
Stainless steel Supertech 1mm OS valves
Mazdaspeed solid lifter buckets
Supertech valve shims
OBX cam gears on motor, TODA gears yet to be installed (included)
Gates Racing timing belt
Mazda 323 GTX Cam Cover
Maxim Works 4-2-1 Header ($1000+ Retail)
GotPSI intake manifold w/ velocity stacks and LS1 throttle body
Top/bottom end capable of over 8000RPM
Power Adder
Kraftwerks Rotrex C30/94 Supercharger system with stand alone oiling system
16PSI peak at 8000RPM
293whp, 194wtq
Pieced together intercooler system from spare parts
ARTech 3'' TIG'd 304SS exhaust with two resonators. Sounds mean. Meets sound limits at Mission.
2.5'' Enthuza test pipe
ECU and Electronics
Haltech Sprint 500 Stand Alone ECU - Running Direct Fire Ignition and sequential injection
Bosch EV14 700CC Injectors
LS7 Ignition Coils

The car runs great, and has since I've had the motor set up in it. With multiple track days, a few hill climbs and thousands of daily driver miles it has never let me down or had any issues. If you're looking for a car that with a few additions could be quite competitive in SSM, or an all out track car this will do you either way. Or even a daily driver, this car can do it. It idles at a solid 900RPM even with the cams, gets (for what it is) great mileage and passed our BC Emissions rolling road test with no modifications to the tune and only with a cat. Our system is as strict as California's testing standards (some say higher!).
This car has been an absolute blast and I know one day I'll regret having sold it. However due to a varying amount of reasons I am deciding to let it go. I am not in a rush to sell, and at this point quite firm on price. I have a lot more into it than I am listing it for, but know cars are not an investment. If you are a serious buyer feel free to contact me, I am willing to ship at buyers expense and willing to sell to a US buyer (you take care of importation paperwork).
Here are two videos from two hill climbs I did last year.

Love the racepak btw

The market isn't any different here. The intrest has been from a few people who had a hand in building it and know how much work it was to get it to where it is today. Racepak is sweet. %100 better than the stock stuff... I couldn't imagine driving a Miata without one now.

That C30/94 is obviously too big for whatever application whoever is buying it wants to use it on. You should do them a favor and trade me your -94 for my -74 (no, serious...)
GLWS mang!

You could always arrange that with him should no one want the car as it sits.
But I'm hoping that's not the case and the current price is more appealing. Adding up the ridiculous amount of dollars I've spent on this thing, 15k is truly a steal.

I really should have bought a -94 and just underdriven it
If I had to guess, I'd say that's probably a 90° Bend Reducer
