Default 1996 Mazda Miata - $4,500 OBO

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1996 Mazda Miata for sale, in USA - Wisconsin.

Mileage: 126,000 miles

Asking price is $5,700 OBO

The Car:
1996 Mazda Miata Montego Blue
Clean Title car, the Title is in my name.
The car currently has 126,000 miles on it but that may change seeing as it is my daily driver. Car is located in the Fox valley area of WI.

The Motor setup:

The car is running the stock DOHC 1.8 BP motor found in the Miata. The car Has been turbocharged using a mix of aftermarket parts. Most of the main turbo pieces are the same ones found in the Bell Engineering turbo kit. Here is a basic list of the turbo kit and parts associated with the setup.

Bell Engineering Ceramic coated cast iron manifold
Bell Engineering Stainless Steel Divorced Wastegate Downpipe
Garrett GT2554 @ 10psi
AVO Front mount intercooler (26x8x3)
AEM Fuel Ignition Controller tuned at Beyond Redline
Bell Engineering Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
Autometer A-Pillar gauge pod
Stewart Warner Boost Gauge
AEM UEGO Air/Fuel meter
305cc Green Top Injectors
Voodoo III Manual Boost Controller
OBX cat-back exhaust (Sounds surprisingly awesome)
Battery relocated to the trunk, Small Cell Battery.
ACT Heavy Duty clutch, Grabs hard
Only uses Royal purple synthetic oil

Suspension and Brakes:

The Miata is lowered using adjustable coilover sleeves matched with custom spring rates. The fronts are 450lb and the rears are 350lb springs. The shocks that are on the Miata are KYB AGX 8 way adjustable. The adjustable ride stiffness and ride height found on the miata make for a very versatile ride. The Miata still has the factory sway bars, and has Flyin Miata frame rail reinforcement kit to help stiffen up the chassis. The Miata is equipped with factory all wheel disk brakes paired with Hawk HPS brake pads, The car stops great.

Miscellaneous Info:

The car is also equipped with a Boss Frog clearview 6 point Roll Bar, Looks badass and makes the car much safer if it were to roll. The car has Hella E-code H4 headlights equipped with 6000K HID’s (both high and low beams). The Miata is also equipped with a set of Yellow foglights, vented headlight lids, and a set of smoked clear corners. The car has clean black interior with minimal signs of wear and tear. The car’s interior is mostly stock with the exception of the Roll bar, a CD player, and the shift boot/shiftnob.

Overall it’s a great car and looks nice for its age. The Miata is a blast to drive and it makes for a great daily summer driver. The car is what you would consider a bit of sleeper, on 10psi the car makes 190whp and 200ftlbs of torque (Professionally tuned at Beyond Redline). Those Power numbers matched with the short gearing found in the Miata make for a very quick ride. The cars 14 years old but the Montego Blue paint stills shines great and shows the awesome color change found in Montego blue. As expected with a 14 year old car it does have a few flaws in the body. There is a slight amount of rust forming on the passenger side (very minimal), and the front bumper has a few scratches. The car looks great for its age and it gets complimented daily. It’s a great daily driver with no mechanical issues. If you are looking for a Fun, Reliable, good looking car that gets 30mpg then this is for you.

Asking $5,700 obo. I am open to trade offers. Looking for a more stock Miata so I can invest into suspension. But might be open to whatever.

Contact me @ Touge4life@hotmail.com or Call 715-281-9322. Thanks for looking.

I have tons of pictures if you want to see anything let me know.

These are the wheels currently on the car, I still have the Kosies too. Car can come with either set.

This is a great deal!!!!!!

I dont know you but you are dealing someone a fair hand here. Should sell quick at that price.

I Feel like that is a fair price for a well built and tuned Miata. I was looking for a kinda quick sale. We will see what happens.

Battery is in the trunk.

Still for sale. I have been daily driving it, no rush to sell. I love the car, and so does everyone else in my town. The thing gets complimented everyday.

Don't know if you might be interested in a more stock 95 black miata as partial trade for your 96 NA. I am interested in selling mine and would love to acquire a well sorted turbo Miata as a step up. Send a PM to 913kent if this might work

Very interested! Just have to sell my 1994 Mustang GT track car first.

Is the top in decent shape? And do you have any pics of the rust on the passenger side?

I am interested in the stock Miata plus cash. As long as it is clean.

The Top is in decent shape, and I can get some a ton more pictures posted later today. You wouldn't be interested in a trade deal with the mustang would you?

Right now I am using a computer with Dial-Up interent (yes it still exsist's), So I can upload the pictures and PM people when I have acess to some fast internet. Should be later today.

Since I am unable to send PM's, I'll just post this up here.

I definitely wouldn't mind trading, but my car still has a lien on it, so maybe we could work out some sort of agreement about purchasing each other's cars.

Also, in the interest of full disclosure, my car definitely needs some work to be track worthy. It's a project that is most of the way there, but still requires a bit of time and attention from a passionate owner.

Sadly, that isn't me. I still love Mustangs, but have fallen for the new S197 models, and the '94 just doesn't have the same appeal now.

I loved the old '95 JRSC-equipped Miata I had, and want to go back to a boosted NA Miata.

If you are still interested in the Mustang, I'll give you all the details, but mainly it's a '94 GT with an older Griggs GR40 coilover setup on it, Baer brakes, and an Autopower rollbar.
