1996 Mazda Miata - $11,500
Category: Import
Status: Clean Title
I have a 1996 Mazda Miata for sale, in USA - Florida.
Mileage: 99000 miles
VIN: upon request
Engine Size: 2.0L
Asking price is $21000
This car has been purchased from the original owner over 3.5 yrs ago, then completely overhauled, meaning, the engine, transmission, rear differential, suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, interior, etc... were removed/replaced.
This project took 3+ yrs to complete, only the best components were used to achieve what you see below, a sleeper that is subtle, clean and completely reliable. This is a vehicle that could be taken cross country without worries. It retains the air conditioner and has every amenity available for that year...
This is not a race car, but a street car that is capable of respectable track times given the options and comfort it offers.
There is roughly 1500 miles on it since finishing it, the car idles, runs and revs to 8000 rpm's without any hiccups, stumbles or hesitations (check the dyno chart) - the components are listed below:
Engine:
2.0L bored/stroked
forged 9:1 pistons
forged H beam rods
Billet oil pump gears
ARP studs throughout
'99 ported/polished head with high revving springs
'99 stock cams with adj. cam gears
550 injectors
Vishnu fuel rail
Fuel pressure regulator
oil dump can
relocated oil filter
Custom exhaust manifold - heat wrapped
Custom intake manifold
Garrett GT3071 - ceramic coated dual ball bearing
Tial wastegate and blowoff valve
Custom intercooler with thick core
Custom intercooler/piping - shortest over the top design possible

Kyoto aluminum radiator w/dual fans
Electromotive Tec3R management system
Mazdaspeed motor mounts
Bosch battery
custom stainless 3" turbo back exhaust w/Borla muffler
Transmission:
Mazdaspeed 6spd
ACT heavy duty clutch
Mazdaspeed tranny mounts
Differential:
Torsen limited slip with 363 gears
Mazdaspeed diff mounts
Suspension:
Tanabe Sustec Pro coilovers
tubular swaybar in front
helm joint swaybar links
-2.3 camber in front
-1.8 camber in rear
0 toe
Brakes:
Wilwood big brake kit fr/rear
steel brake lines front/rear
Wheels:
949 wheels 6UL-2nd generation (13 lbs ea.)
15x9 225/45/15 RS3 Hankook super sticky tires
Interior:
AEM digi Boost gauge
AEM digi Wideband
Voodoo shift ****
Pioneer system with Navigation
Sparco Ring steering wheel
Clifford 2 way pager alarm
HardDog roll bar
Options:
A/C & heat
power windows
power antenna
tinted windows
This car makes 340 whp at 20psi, the 550 cc injectors are maxed out at 85% duty cycle...installing 1200cc injectors would be a great way to achieve 450-500whp...I haven't messed with the cams yet either, retarding the intake cam 5, 6 degrees is a good way to net more power...and there's always meth injection if all that ain't enough. Motor is built to hold up to 600 whp so the sky's the limit.

it would cost you another $15K on top of the asking price to replicate what's in this car.
i suppose another $500 between injectors race gas and tuning to 500hp would make you think it's worth it?
And BTW, it's THE perfect time of the year to sell convertibles in FL
